Life is full of trade=offs...
Trade deadlines were more fun here when the team wasn't wining Cups.
Today's article...
Blue Jackets fall on a class hike 6-1.

For sure. If I remember right, not a lot seemed to happen on the Hawks on that end in those days either or I seem to be remember being disappointed they didn't do more.
The TDL acquisitions I remember that were fairly significant were Murphy, Amonte and Nichlos. At least I think Bernie was acquired at the TDL...or was he an FA signing?

If any bit of this article were even remotely true, Bob McKenzie, or Darren Dreger, or Pierre LeBrun, or Nick Kypreos, or fifteen others would have reported on it, yet the prevailing belief out there is that the Canucks and Penguins had a deal worked out and Canucks ownership nixed it. |

Marty St. Louis is listed as 5'8" 176.
TT is claimed to be 5'10" 185 - prd797
Yeah. He isn't. Have you seen the pics of MSL's legs. They are the size of a body builders except useful. |

You are aware the draft this year is pretty weak? A 2nd is nothing and can be re gained easily.
He has 3 real options.
Waive Regin and Rundblad.
Zues to IR
Rozy to IR
Seems they want him to be here. And in Chicago. - Elbows15
I think they want him, too, which means there's no way they trade for Rundblad a couple days ago if they planned to put him on waivers a few days later. Makes no sense. That one is out. Regin's cap hit is too low to matter, so it won't be him. The IR moves seem like the only outs right now. |

Other question I have is if TT does come over and play, would he be able to play in the playoffs, or would he be like LeBlanc last year and ineligible to play? |

Yeah I have. The guy is a fitness nut. All muscle.
I've also seen TT listed at 146 elsewhere |

Yeah, those are some tree trunks - his upper body must weigh about 40 pounds if he's only 175. |

He could play; he signed his contract awhile ago. LeBlah couldn't because he signed his ELC too late to be eligible for the playoff roster. TT's situation is like Krugman's a couple years ago. |

Thanks for the clarification, wasn't sure if it was based on when the contract was signed, or if a certain number of games needed to be played in the regular season to be eligible for a playoff roster |

The TT talk may be a lot of wasted keystrokes...
Bowman implied it also depends "if" they can bring him over and for me that is more than cap implications. Depends when his season ends...if he wants to come etc...By that time the regular season could be close to finished and maybe they time it that way anyway.

I don't believe there's a minimum number of games; for example, any Hog that hasn't played for the Hawks all year could start in the playoffs. |

I don't get all the Kesler Love.
Can't see it. He is hurt all the time. As usual Gillis over rates the values of his players. Just look what he received for Schnieder and Luongo combined. Not That much. His Kassian trade is also looking like a bad deal.
I don't doubt the Hawks are on his list. Kane is fed up with playing with average second line centers and I get that ....but he's not running the team and if he thinks Buffalo is a good location he needs his head examined.
Better game last night and I think like many that Saad and Toews have some mo-jo together. - PEIHawkFan
The chances of a snowball lasting in hell are better than Kane wanting to go back to Buffalo when his deal is up.
Every year the Hawks stay good Kane, Toews and others make more money off the ice.
The Sabres are more poorly run than the Blackhawks were under Pulford....That's saying a lot.

It ain't gonna be Rundblad, dope. They didn't give up a 2nd rounder for him to play 2 games for the Hawks and then leave. Wake the phuck up. So Regin alone won't give you enough space for TT.

That's the point though. He is hurt all of the time because of the WAY he plays, doing it all and bringing 150% every time he hits the ice. When your banging in the corners, playing the dirty minutes against the opponents best, it's going to ear on you. We'll see the same thing happen to Shaw, Krugers, etc. |
