Relax man!
- MjulQvist

The man/boy made a statement. I agreed with his original premiss, but ask that he think further about his substantiation of it. A scoring title in any 5 game tournament at any level should not be used as any sort of assurance of success. It points to good things, but had he simply pointed out what your guy has done in Finnish elite league this year vs men. That would have sufficed. He is a top 10 scorer there right?

I have no beef with TT and hope he comes as advertised.

She's British isn't she? My mother was and had no idea how to cook. She used to put vegetables into boiling water then go and clean the house!
- paulr

Not British. Just a pansy. Guacomole is too spicy for her...not like HOT guac, just regular Guac and chips. She freaks out and cant handle it. So like i said, she's a pansy, and everything she cooks is super bland because she cant handle flavor or something, i dont know. Sucks though

Because? You let DJ encourage you to make you look foolish? Where is the formula or video evidence or even napkin math calculation for a million times better. Moreoever, you believe that more can be gained of what a teen ager can do vs other teens over 5 games vs what men do vs men over 70?

By all means bring over TT and his 40 goals and 100 points NHL might be too easy for him.

- TrueGrit

Yeah taking the words "a million" literally was the point of my post. Winning the WJC scoring title is a very good indicator of future success, winning the AHL scoring title is not.

Why would I say this when he already said it?

Top 5 as for now. I´m not saying winning the WJC scoring title assures any success in NHL but it is a pretty good sign.

There actually is a vey profound/theory as to why this is a better indicator of success than the AHL scoring title....

Watching the replay of COL/DET from last night. Your guy MacKinnon plays like a man already. He could have a decent future.

Do tell. I am curious, because 5 games or so seems like a small sample. I do know that the AHL scoring title means bubkiss, but I'm curious to know about the WJC thingy.

Age mostly. It is a better indicator. It isn't a be-all end-all though.

If I'm not mistaken, the Hobey Baker award doesn't really mean poop either.

About that upcoming round one match-up with the Avs... I'm not sure it would be all bad to be the road team. Games 1 & 2 there is a lot of pressure for them in their first playoff games for most of them. Games 1 & 2 in Chicago gives them time to get settled in games they don't "have" to win.

Maybe even less than winning a AHL scoring title. If that's possible.

What's the guess on punishment for the meathead, Kassian? He had five already this year, and last night was pretty blatant. But was there injury? If not, I got three games.

Season isn't over yet. The boys are going to storm down the stretch.

I think they'll do fine down the stretch. I also think the Blues and Avs will do fine down the stretch, and they'll all end up close. I'm not too worried if the Avs pass them. The Avs will be new to the post-season and have a chance to soil themselves in the first couple games.

Let's start now because that would be fun. I'll defer to others on this, but isn't Pirri much better than The Blah?

People love playing false dilemma around here. If you say TT should be given a chance because he shows uncommon promise, you can be assured a half dozen guys will laugh at you for putting him in the HoF...

They are also the ones extolling the virtues of Handzus at 2c for the past six months.

The Avs are living on borrowed time. The Devil wants his payment soon. Roy looks scared in the presser I saw yesterday. He knows.
