Miller vs. Varlomov: pretty good so far today.

Sage. The NHL has taken steps to avoid just this situation due to the previous problems they had in the late 90's early 2000's when the same thing happened.

Hope you're right - I'm reacting to the article on NBC Sports quoting the LA GM.

I think we all know it is going to be a 3-point game. That's just the way it goes you are definitely the most optmistic about Hawks still getting 1st place, I just don't want to be #3. I really don't know who to root for.

CC to start tomorrow...Raanta hasn't played since Jan 28th...Rundblad to make his Hawks debut..
- Glenman12

Quite frankly unless Raanta understand he is being pulled in the shoot-out, I think he gets better in practice and when CC really needs spelling.

Crawford wants to play.

Raanta showed us his good and bad and frankly, I don't think he got better in practice the last couple that he has earned more time....

I root for Backes to blow out a knee every night. I'm 0-fer 62 on the season.

Punched a hole in the wall of a house when that happened. I was so unbelievably confident they were going to win. Sharpie

Easiest loss i've ever had as a Hawks' fan. I was pissed too that we lost, but to SHOW THE HEART TO RALLY like the boys did. They left it all out there.

Hate those things. Always stick to your teeth and I have yet to find a way to jam a finger into my mouth to remove them and look nonplussed at the same time.

Yeah that short-handed goal was huge. Game 4 was my favorite. After that cheap shot knocking seabrook out, the Hawks were on a mission, especially keith. Keith was a pissed-off monster in that game
- tomcat24

I remember it well because he actually got a couple on net in that game. He had a couple to key a 5-cob win in G5 in Van.

I was working in Michigan during most of that season and spent many nights sitting in my car listening to games on the radio through the static. In game 7 I couldn't bear to listen to the final minutes of regulation and exited the car when the penalty was whistled. I probably hadn't walked more than 20 feet when I received a text telling me to get back in the car. Toews had tied it up with the shorty. Only prolonged the agony.

Blues at Avalanche on now...who do ya pull for?

I suppose the game NOT going to OT would be nice.

And I suppose ya cold root for injuries...

EDIT...and I'm late to the parade I see. Suppose I should read the thread before posting.

He was so good with that a few years ago. I don't know what happened to him over the last couple of years. The staff needs to have all the D look at tapes of Lidstrom to see how to get pucks on net

Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing two outdoor games on January 1st. One in the East, and one in the West with one game played during the the day, and one at night. Something to showcase Hockey as soon as the football season ends.

I also like the Heritage Classic that is played every other year in Canada. They can keep that game too.

This is all it needs to be. The Stadium Series gimmick was a good for this season with last season's lockout in mind, but it shouldn't be done every season. Having an outdoor game a month kind of kills the luster of the gimmick, in my opinion.

PA will protest and I could understand their point...

Best day would be Christmas night....Nothing to compete with.

That reminds me of that huge game 5 against Nashville. I got so pissed off in the 3rd after they scored those goals to take the lead. I shut off the tv. Couldn't believe the news later how they won

I was living in Chicago at the time and was watching at some bar over around Logan Sq with some friends. Talk about an emotional roller coaster. It's ok though; the good guys won!
