That's been my main beef with him since he returned from the knee injury.

When you're now making $4 mil/year...you have to earn that dough ALL YEAR..not just in the playoffs.

As long as he can flip the switch when it counts, $4.0 is a bargain these days.

On the subject of numbers...why would Conacher text Kane about wearing #88 in Buffalo???

@BNHarrington: Conacher said he chose 88 sted 89 out of deference to Mogilny -- and that he texted with Kane about taking 88.

Lehtonen suffered a concussion on a big collision (caused by his teammate tripping Eric Haula of the Wild), so in came Tim Thomas with his Panthers gear...

@BNHarrington: Conacher and Kane are friends. Hence their talk on 88.

Whoops. I guess that's a bit of a spoiler alert for when Kane gets traded straight-up for Conacher at the draft.

After all, Conacher has something Kane doesn't........an AHL MVP award.

To screw with the minds of guys like us who might be prone to wonder "why would Conacher text Kane about wearing #88 in Buffalo?"

Typical Torres. As soon as someone grabs him, he's looking to turtle out of it.

Yeah, looked like he was trying to get down as soon as possible. Don't think the punches did any damage.

This year?

Every game, every night, every week, every month, of every season of NBA basketball is bad.

While it was not a dirty hit, I just shake my head when Torres tries to make it look like he is getting jumped and he has no idea what's going on.

Seriously man, there are very few reasons why somebody is throwing their mitts off to grab you...

One of these days, someone is going to get Torres and beat the living poop out of him.

Let's hope he can flip the switch, but two things may/are conspiring against him this time around.

1. He's still wearing THE BRACE, and he sounds like he's still not comfortable with it.

2. He's a known commodity this playoff and will likely be targeted more aggressively by opponents. Will he wear down even sooner given the increased surveillance ?

BTW...pissed at myself for not scouting out this Buffalo game/trip sooner. With all the one game vs East teams last few years, I missed it. Would have been nice to have gotten to this one.

Instead, i'll save a couple hundy and watch on Center Ice.
