Are there any of his 40 or 50 dangerous hits that are defensible? Notice he never delivers the hit on somebody like Raffi Torres - always a skill player or defenceman with no chance to get ready for the hit.

I am so sick of Matt Cooke as I think many are. The carnage he is leaving in his wake because of dirty, stupid, careless antics should have the NHL waking up and doing something serious about this buffoon. I literally worry each time the Hawks take the ice against that ingrate one of our guys will have a serious injury because of him.

I think he needs a very long suspension after the latest hit and when he comes back he gets one more chance or he's done. Kick his ass out the NHL.

So, Leddy gets to show off his fashion sense tonight? The thought of a Leddy-Runblad pairing isn't exactly one which warms the cockles of my heart. Guess they could put Runblad with either Hjalmarsson or Oduya so he has a comfort level and no language barrier. Leddy with the other.

I agree with this. There are two general categories of enforcers, hitters, pests, or goons— whatever you want to call them; players who thrive on the use of intimidation as part of their game— in the league. There are guys like Abdelkader or Roussel, who I dislike only because they're on the other team. If they were on my team I'd be happy with the way they grind out the game. Then there are the Cookes and the Torres of the league who are just thugs. I wouldn't ever want to see them in Hawks uniforms under any circumstances.
