Sorry, I've looked at this like four times and want to get it straight. For Kane, you would want the Sabres first in 2015 AND 2016, Tyler Myers, and take your pick of two of Zadorov, Ristolainin, Grigorinko, and Armia
I think you need to stop playing Xbox (which most likely wouldn't do this trade either) - SDSabre
Jokes on you. I don't play video games. Grigerenko? Who the hell wants him? He is the russian Kyle Beach. |

I've said it before and I'll say it again.
Those of you that are here saying that we have TT and these plethora of prospects coming up and that they shouldn't be traded are delusional.
Keith is into his 30's
Seabrook is close
Sharp is as well
Hossa has a few seasons left
This team needs to be looking at moves to win RIGHT NOW. Kesler brings them the second line center this team has needed for years and Kane should be demanding. Kesler is an elite center who fills so many holes.
I, for one, hope they do make a push for Kesler. - CaptainBlackhawk
there is a window open to win now, and it only is open for so long. it happens to all great dynasties. Which is funny - if the coach and gm are so influential - why do dynasties only last so long. |

Like that one time he played center dropped 41 goals and won the Selke award? - fattybeef
Troy Murray once scored 45 goals. Once. As did Kesler. once. And that was 4 years ago, |

It would suck big time if the bottom team he was traded to at the time ended up number 8 in the draft order or something though. Obviously there's risk involved - BlazinMike

Yep and never came anywhere near those numbers again. Which was my point. |

If I am not mistaken wasn' it Kane who went to management after receiving his rookie of the year award and was the main influence of getting Campbell to come to Chicago. Kane is a good recruiter...and I believe he will use his future contract negotiations as leverage to get Kessler.. By the way, TT's last game is on the 13th this month and his team is currently in 6th place which probably means his team will be eliminated from the Finish playoffs before the end of March. |

Actually the point of my post was to point the joke towards yourself. The Sabres aren't gonna give your Hawks two of those assets that you wanted for the UFA-to-be Kane. That's actually all my point was. Don't get me started on Grigo. Pushed up to early, mishandled when up here. There's still potential there, he is only 19 after all... You said two prospects, so I put up IMO our top two D and O prospects. Girgensons is no longer a prospect of he'd be there instead of Grigo. If you don't play video games, then lay off the drugs because you'll not get anything close to what you want IF the Hawks trade Kane. I wouldn't, ever, but I'm not a GM. |

Don't worry...if and when we ever fill the 2c position...there will be complaints about defensive depth....back up goaltending.....or whatever hole there happens to be. 2 Cups in 4 years without 2c and yet this year.....is somehow different. - UnnamedSource

why would Kane EVER want to leave Chicago where he is the biggest celebrity in the city, has won 2 cups, and has an amazing supporting cast around him. Keith, Kane, Seabrook, and Toews will all retire as Blackhawks after raising another 2-3 Stanley Cups. - EnzoD
He's also stuck next to Handzus and Versteeg while Sharp/Toews/Hossa have all the fun. Imagine Kane's numbers if he played next to those guys for 82 games.

Please don't trade TT for Kesler. While I agree Kesler would be a nice add, giving up someone like TT would be a poor decision for many reasons. First of all there is a 10 age difference,Kesler has played hard for a long time with many injuries, another 5 mil player etc. My solution is to sign O Reilly and give up the picks to get him. Keep TT and put him on RW as insurance if Kane doesn't sign |

Eichels is top four - five guy next year, but
there is an American defenseman Noah Hanifin who right now is better than Jones...
It is clear you haven't been at my site....

Erstwhile means former. Can we soon file the Vanc Canucks under the category of former playoff teams?
Hold on, not so fast with that proclamation? But the stink from missing the playoffs would hasten Gillis' departure. The erstwhile GM then never brokers a deal for TT. Yeah? But TT is not going to be T &T for anyone ASAP. Transition to pro game, stepping in and responsible, knowledable, successful in the NHL game is a tall order for the still too green Tervu.
I am not against Kesler landing here but I am hopeful TT is not going the other way. Our core is not so youthful that we do not choose intentionally to add a potential new core piece in TT. You may not be convinced that he is elite but surely no one else in the pipeline has such lofty expectation.
But until TT plays wherever this spring and until the Entry Draft and UFA season begins, all our banter about the eventual outcome is as windy and short as a burst of turbulent air blowing through our windy city. We are in a waiting mode. |

Kane has disappeared lately on the 5 on 5 action, after basically being a point a game for the first part of the season. Basically due to the jumbling of that line and the return of slow mo Handzus.
And i laughed out loud when everyone was saying that Toews hossa and sharp line was the best in the league - what a joke. That was after they got hot playing against some mediocre defensive talent.
another great stat somebody blabbed earlier - which is fine. But must be put in perspective about playoff scoring - top two lines versus bottom two lines. Of course the players on the top two lines should score way more goals than the bottom two lines. One, the players on the top two lines get more pp time and overall more playing time. In some games, i am sure the bottom lines get very little time. or the players are there just to kill penalties or to perform as a checking line. |

Yeah, we don't give a sh!t about the game, we'd rather be here arguing with one another about Rundblad versus Leddy and whether Oduya gets shipped off and Hjalmarsson moves back to the left side where he started out and whether Rozy will walk away from 2.2M . . . - savvyone-1
Especially since most advocating this have never seen Rundblad PLAY. I have no idea whether he can replace Brookbank at this point. If I have seen him play, I don't recall. |
