Trading Kesler and Edler isn't blowing it up, it's shaking things up a bit for the better. I'm all for trading those two before the draft.

On the Hawks thread JJ is saying a possible deal is in place for the summer..Kesler for Leddy , Shaw and TT, what do you think?

I try not to pay too much attention to the rumours. If Aqulini is directing traffic does that mean the Canucks will never win a cup? Maybe, but what I do know is that for the most part, the DB's that come in here to tell us have much less capabilities to build a Stanley Cup winner than the Aqua Man does...

I'm disappointed that there weren't more changes made, but I'm in it for the long term, and if the changes that need to be made are made in the summer, or next year, or the year after that I can wait. I'm not a season ticket holder, likely never will be, so they aren't getting my money anyway.

Thats what I mean, moving 1 or both of them is just reshuffling the deck, dont know if there has been any talk about moving Sedins etc and just try for a new younger core and culture

I don't see that offer being a home run personally, far from it. Not even an upgrade from the Anaheim deal I wanted IMO.

Love the way Schneider knows Pete's philosophy inside-out & understands that every role is replaceable (youth preferred) within our system. Hell, we turned Bennett from a Bucs castoff into a star in 1yr. Guys like Bennett will have to look for their set-for-life contracts elsewhere if that's a higher priority than making 90% of their market value & winning multiple rings. I wish him the best... Hope he ends up with Martellus on the Bears (if not back with us on a reasonable deal).

I don't know how serious ANA was, really. Bob Mackenzie was saying that if ANA really wanted to get the deal done, they were the one team that could afford to give up the assets the Canucks were looking for.
