Does the organization have the balls to replace that poster with Kesler. - fiveandagame
They might as well put Aquilini's ugly mug up there, his face should be as big as his ego. |

Jury's still out. It's looking in your favour, however. |

Step 1 - Fire Gillis
Step 2 - Hire an actual Hockey GM (not a agent, or a buddy)
Step 3 - Ownership needs to stay the fu(k out of the decision making that the management makes. That includes not taking your kid on stage to draft your first round pick.
Step 4 - Fire Torts, and hire a coach that isn't so outdated in his style of play.
Aquilini needs to take back seat, and stay out of the game. |

We don't know how Gillis approached negotiations it what he said to other GMs, but just because he didn't make deals is not evidence that he screwed up. Who cares if Boston wanted Edler and believed they offered quality for it. If the deal wasn't deemed good by Gillis, he didn't need to make the deal. Same with the Pittsburgh offer, most of what has leaked out doesn't appear to have been worth a trade for Kesler. Would you walk onto a car dealership looking for a Lexus and be OK with the salesman offering you a Camry and expecting you to pay the same amount (I'm not saying Kesler is a Lexus).
And Garth Snow can shut up. It's not Gillis's job to make it smooth for all other GMs to make their trades.
All this to say, I'm not a Gillis fan. |

Step 0 - Aquillini sells the franchise to Gagliardi - AlexF
I'm game.
I like how it was leaked that Aquaman nixed the Kesler deal, cause he wanted the playoff money. Cause keeping Kesler is going to get us in the playoffs, .
This team is spiraling to top 10 pick level and fast. Making the playoffs would actually hurt the teams development. The quicker they make changes the better.
I can't believe they think Lack and Markstrom can handle the load. Lack is good, but he needs to be an NHL backup getting 20 - 30 games a year, for 2 more years.
This decision making that is going on is absurd, and seems like any bum off the street could have managed this better than MG. |

Hey good things happen in the draft, how do you think Colorado is as good as they are. Not every team is a (frank)up like the Oilers.
Drafted - O'Rielly, Duchene, Landeskog, MacKinnon, Statsny, Tyson Barrie all drafted within the last five years. Except Statsny. - LeftCoaster
It's not that I disagree with you. The Oilers are a special case of disaster. But even Colorado had to go through years of bottom feeding mediocrity before aquiring those players.
MacKinnon (1st overall)
Landeskog (2nd overall)
Duchene (3rd overall)
O'Reilly (33rd overall)
That is the core of that team and required 3 lottery picks to build it. As bad as it looks now we won't be getting those kinds of draft positions for a while yet. |

You referring to the guy that was the future of your franchise and the reason you didn't need an old declining goalie like Luongo?
I definitely enjoyed reading 100 of those posts last summer. |

They've missed the playoffs for three years, not exactly "years of bottom feeding", last years draft and the next couple should be good...hopefully? |

The moment Vanek turned down that contract extension signaled he had no intention on staying and Snow should have moved then. It was nobody's fault but his own that he waited till the last minute.

I just seen the highlights from last game Christ they didn't seem to even be trying on those goals. Was the whole game like that? |
