How does the ref just stare at the blatant take down of Read to kill their offensive pressure. What a jerk job. - Flyers1218
I was yelling at that as well. they call a weak ass hook and just stare at that blatant interference |

I'd have to say YES to that question.

They did let Coburn get away with grabbing the puck and covering it along with Timonen's high stick/slash on his post shot.
I think we're all square for now. |

Getting a point on the road when you don't have your A game isn't bad.
Team needs to do better against faster teams though. Defenseman can't get turned around on every rush |

I didnt think it was possible for Grossmann to make himself look that small going down..
Take the point and get ready for the next game. |

Well, Toronto was handed that game by the officials. No other way around it. That disallowed goal was one of the worst calls I have seen and the Flyers are owed a pretty damn good explanation. They will beat Toronto if they play them in the playoffs. |

if you toss out the first few minutes of the game, the Flyers dominated much of the remainder. If not for those early defensive zone breakdowns they win this in regulation pretty easily.
unfortunately, you can't toss out the first few minutes.

Amazing to see the hook on Timonen being followed up with no calls on anything the other way.
I hate when officials blatantly refuse to officiate. |

You do realize that the refs missed at least 2 calls that should have been made on the Flyers right?
Andy Mac with an obvious interference and Coburn with a clear glove close on the puck that would have given the Leads a 2 man advantage.
The Flyers lost the game because of defensive breakdowns and not the refs. |

It was a bad call. But with the Flyers having a poor first period, I'd say that Toronto wasn't handed anything. Kudos to the Flyers for fighting back and getting a big point. I also like the Flyers chances if they play the Leafs in the playoffs. |

lots of missed calls on both sides tonight. The calls they did make looked less like penalties than the ones they missed.
bad game for the refs, for sure. |

not to get into an argument, but I think he was referring to a goal that should have counted and not penalty calls. a goal taken off the board hurts a hell of a lot more than some missed penalty calls. |

This time of year getting any points on the road, you take and run. They keep playing hard and don't sulk when they are down, which continues to serve them well in the stretch. Btw, I will be very disappointed if Downie is reinserted in the top 9. |

I'd say for more then just a few minutes. All of the 1st and the beginning of the 2nd, Flyers were on their heels. That piece of poop Jay Rosehill picked a good time to fight, and the team responded afterwards.

Not to mention Timo's post shot was the result of a high stick then slash to knock the stick out of Kessel's hands.
Flyers lost that game. No way around it. Defensive breakdowns and too much helter skelter early on. |

They both sucked on the OT goal...Grossmann left Lupul all alone to chase the puck and Streit may as well have been in Brampton for all the (frank)ing good he did. |

The puck was under Berniers skate and pinned. Refs blow that play dead most of the time. It was just strange that the center ice official blew it dead and not the official behind the net. |
