He wasn't into the whining. Took a HB holiday. |

He's such a whiner, he's also embarrassed to be seen in a tank top. |

I don't really see a lot of whining going on. I just see a lot of cheerleading for what would be best for the the team moving forward.

One could hope then we can trade them for the leafs two back ups. - VANTEL
Nonis has no interest in Gillis' trade offers, otherwise you would still have Schneider |

Or playing the worst team in the league might be more accurate. How are a Canuck fan? You spend more time with your hater glasses on.....you female dog more than my pregnant wife.... - chompsey
Why do you hang out on a Canuck forum so much? You obviously hate the fans so much. You talk about the posters more than the Canucks. Little man syndrom...
Also, you want to clear up your comment out about you female dog pregnant wife??? Maybe you should edit before she see's that.
Hell, you even give the people you love a hard time at home.... no rest for the wicked. |

Rolling with Joey MacDonald and Joni Ortio as your goalie tandem is ballsy even at the AHL level. Gotta hand it to Burke - he doesn't even bother masking that he's tanking his team. - AlexF
not sure where you get they are tanking the team.
more like giving prospects play time. not something that would be understood in VCR since they don't have any.
and you just beat a your so called tanking team by 1 point. |

Pride - anyone who's ever played competitive sports would understand. If you quit you should hang your gear up. - LeftCoaster

Bernier is 3rd in Sv% among goalies with at least 30 games played....not bad for a backup. Leafs might part with Reimer if Horvat was coming back, although they might not wanna do that after giving up a goalie with a career .925SV% to draft the future #3 center |

But, but, I read on this site that Horvat and Shinkaruk are the next Toews and Kane? |

Whether they got the two points or not last night wasn't important, playing like the cared (however God awful they are) was what was really important. |

I sit on the opposite side of the fence. I haven't seen this team play with urgency in some time now. I want major changes this offseason. Right now the personnel is bottom 10. We have some decent players but they need new addresses. |

Oh I agree - just didn't want them to hang Eddie out to dry again like the last couple of games. He's in there battling his ass off. The kids getting it from the fans and media, for no reason, I simply wanted them to show some compete level for him.
As for changes, you know I want them as badly as you do. Except for the Sedins |

I agree. I would rather see the Oilers play their best hockey in years (they're getting a lotto pick regardless) then better their chances for the top pick. |

For years the Leafs played awful hockey for most of the season and then played like they really cared for the last 15 or 20 games. That turned out to be a bad thing. |

Agreed. The most glaring need is to make the Sedins second liners. This can be accomplished by trading both Kesler and Edler. And from what I saw on after hours last night, make Bieksa the Captain. |
