I'll try and key in on him. I know what your talking about when he freezes. The leafs look like a very bad matchup for the flyers d.

A lot of the issues with the Leafs were team defense, not the defensemen. The Leafs were all over them early and the Flyers did a poor job front to back.

I think Shero's one of the most overrated GM's in the NHL.

He was handed the keys to a soon to be superpower and in 8 years, he's got 1 Stanley Cup. He inherited Crosby & Malkin. He inherited Fleury. He's made some good trades and he has drafted some good defensemen, but he's got a team that is top heavy and lacks depth. He faces a cap nightmare and outside of Bennett the pipeline is bare for forwards

It was a perfectly placed shot, and I'm not blaming Schenn for the goal, but I have seen him make similar "plays" before. It's like he freezes and tries to avoid making a mistake.

I don't think there is any question about that. When he plays passively, he makes mistakes. When he plays aggressively and uses his physical skills such as in the 2nd Washington game, he is effective.

i dont think he is the best. guys like holland and poile have him beat. but shero is at the least an above average GM. his drafting is inconsistent, yes. but trades/free agency he has a far higher batting average than most.

Not saying he's horrible, but he's definitely in the Holmgren/Poile class, rather than the Holland/Bowman realm.

I think Poile is even more overrated. Guy's been a NHL GM for thirty years, been to one Final.

Agreed. He was very solid in that second Capitals game
