True, but i did see somewhere that Tampa's Connolly isn't too pleased with where he has ended up on the depth chart, with them trying to resign Callahan to what is largely regarded as big $ perhaps we could steal the hometown boy, through offer sheet or trade - Whiskey-Tango
Think a trade for Connolly would be on the table. His star has fallen a bit over the past couple seasons. |

I'm not sure its going to matter much when it comes to the UFA's as the pickings are slim and the top guys don't really serve our team direction.
The youngest guys are Callahan (28) and Stastny (28) Michalek (29). Apart from that notables include: Heatly, Gaborik, Moulson, Vanek, Cammy then the old bums Iggy, Jagr and Afly
But, take a look at the RFA's
Subban, O'Reilly, Berglund, B-Schenn, Neiddereter, Gudbransson, Johanson, Nilsson, Connolly, Kreider, Schwartz, Sheahan, R-Smith, M-Foligno, Smith-Pelly, Tatar.
With the added cap space, If GMMG had the balls to attempt to poach one or two of those, that would be a step in the right direction.
The rest of the league seems to hate him already so who the (frank) cares about blow-back. Sign Tanev and let Kassian sign a offer sheet so long as we get one of the above - Whiskey-Tango
Pretty much impossible to Offer Sheet 2 players in the same off-season, since it would be the same draft picks being used as compensation in each deal.

He was passed on the depth chart for a reason. If he wasn't from BC would you have any interest? |

Sorry, meant to say Connolly.
EDIT: Agree with Michael above. Doesn't seem to a player you'd target to make a difference for this team. More like one piece involved in a larger package. |

Got mad love for that guy, anyone advocating that we move him is an absolute moron.
"I'm a Canuck at heart and I'm going down with the ship"
Its a shame that we don't have more of these personalities on this team, let alone league wide.
After this season, give him the god dam C already, Henrik is not able to pull his general "lead by example" show and it could take the pressure of him to regain his form next season without all the extra media hassle. - Whiskey-Tango

Murrey confirmed he offered Etem and 2 1sts. They can throw in Palmeiri too |

A D for a D? We need forwards and quite badly at that. Both playmakers and scorers. Our D will be serviceable for years to come. |

That's a decent deal. I'm surprised he didn't take it. |

This! Thank you! I'd buy low on him if the price was right but he's not close to the top of my lost of targets.
Who the hell cares where these guys are born? |

Yeah, I don't wanna trade core players for a bunch of unproven assets. That's how you (frank) up a rebuild, retool, whatever, etc. |

Agree re Connolly but you but you can't expect proven young stars in return either. The sweet spot is a player that is on the verge of breaking out at the NHL level. Once they've broken out their value skyrockets to untradeable proportions. |

Exactly. Good AHL numbers with stints of legit NHL play. |

Yes, it is apparent you don't follow the Canucks closely. Hansen, Sestito (and even Kassian, and Kesler may not be likeable but he has a winning mindset) all have great attitudes. Care to share where you got your information?
I agree with your comments about the fanbase, though. It's definitely bandwagon 101 personified - Zogg
I don't think most on here are bandwagon fans. Win or lose they are here everyday talking about the team they love. Just because they are not favourable comments does not make them a bandwagon fan. |
