If they had lost to Calgary Saturday and changes happened, as was speculated, I think the next 48 hours or so could be really interesting considering the performance on Saturday and now this debacle tonight.

I feel bad for Biscuit. That guy is hardcore and you can tell he's serious about winning. I bet he's incredibly pissed about the sideshow Gillis and Torts has created and what a distraction they have been.

I think it's in everyone's best interest if you just trade him......... to the leafs

Agreed. But he has the tools

For sure. He's also not prepared to handle this much of a workload. Markstrom needs some starts.

And Jensen's penalties were poetry in motion.

I don't fault him for that first one at all. He made the right play. The second one was dumb, as was Sestito's and to a lesser extent Bieksa's.

Doubt anything happens mid-season. Unless the Aquillinis somehow see the season ticket renewal numbers plummeting.

That's a lot of shots in quick succession. Look out Roxy.

It was just the bar side of a restaurant. 15 people in the entire restaurant. Very entertaining. Kitchen staff were at the bar from 4-3 goal onwards... they were laughing and started taking shots too. Very entertaining night. Can't go wrong with $11 burger and pint.

It's going to cost FA a ton to let go go Torts at this point. Usually a GM can fire a coach as a last ditch effort to save his own ass. Gillis already played that card with AV. I could see both fired though.

Friedman has sources around the league and said there was potential for someone to be fired if they lost to Calgary. They barely won that game and were embarrassed tonight so I think either Gillis or Torts/Sully are on the hot seat right now.

Not sure Gillis would be let go mid season. Maybe before the draft or something. New gm would probably want his own coach though.

Did Gillis mention AV in last year's season ticket holder emails? Just curious.

To me, there are quite a few goalies who are capable of putting up solid numbers playing back up (shelled minutes) in one season. There is a reason only a small number of goalies in this league can put up solid numbers playing 60+ games as a starter. It is a completely different mindset being the number 1 guy and the pressure is immense. Is Lack capable of being a starter and playing 60-70 games and posting good numbers? We have no idea, and this concerns me.

We're (frank)ed if FA will only hire a "yes man" type.

Would you re-new right now?

Holy sh*t, this might turn out to be worse than the Keenan years.
