I think the majority of everyone's initial reaction last summer at the announcement of Tortorella as Canucks new coach seems to be right on the money. It's quite simple: Tortorella.Is.Not.A.Good.Fit ....any questions?

Fu(k You Gillis.

You're gonna ruin Lack, he should not be a starter.

I could go on, but you all know the problems.

I was pretty vocal in my concern based on the style of his teams' play. It's outdated and one-dimensional. A few people thought I was being too harsh. I'm not putting all this crap on his doorstep, but he has certainly played his part in this Shakespearean tragedy.

To be fair, he probably realized/thought this team didn't have the offense to play an open style.

Be that as it may, you don't adopt the polar opposite system. This isn't Nashville's forward core. Based on the games I've watched of his in NY I'm more inclined to think he only knows how to coach one system.

He had high scoring teams in TB as well, but overall I agree with you and thought it was a strange fit. I still fully believe that FA pushed for him more so than Gillis. Gillis is all about puck possession(though the Cam Barker signing confused me until this very day ).

Mostly, yes. Founded in India I believe, but a lot of Asian countries have a large Buddhist population.
