I actually think at the draft Van will make some more noise. Markstrom still has potential and what's the rush? Kesler, Bieksa, Edler should bring in some hefty returns.

While additional games against LA, Anaheim and San Jose certainly have an affect, it's much more than that. By the end of December they were still on pace for 105 points. The team imploded from top to bottom. They actually had decent records against the Pacific in years past.

i didn't realize that the Canucks 15 playoff wins in 2011 all came against Edmonton and Colorado.

Seriously, the Canucks haven't won a cup yet and the Leafs haven't won a cup since before the Canucks were even in the league. The only team that has bragging rights right now is Chicago.

As a fan of both teams I think I can have more of an unbiased opinion than most. Certain "fans" of both teams can be db's. It goes without saying that when a team is experiencing consistent regular team success, fans tend to beat their chest a little more than if they don't. This isn't rocket science and Leaf fans do it just as much as Canuck's fans do.
