I suspect most of the good ones will be re-signed before they're even available for an offer sheet. Aside from that, history is not on our side given how few offer sheets are ever successful.

It's frustrating how few options are available to teams to improve their rosters.

As a fan I wonder how it would be different if the contracts were NFL style. non-guaranteed with cuts and restructuring being a norm.

I concur. Nothing beats day drinking!

I'm looking forward to cracking a beer down at the beach while I run my dog after work.

Day Drinking can lead to Day Sex... usually doesn't happen the other way around.

Both usually lead to mid-day naps, however.

Chompsey dress your (frank)en players dude or fold your team. 14-0 last week and you had players on the bench all the time. You are killing the rankings.

Agreed. There's no sense in playing your higher end prospects with grinders. And it's not like anyone else can score anyway. As Carol wrote about, we're on a fierce pace to set the franchise record for least amount of goals scored. I'd put Daffy Duck on the 1st PP if it would do any good.
- AlexF

Absolutely agree as well. Gotta' get those kids reps with the top line. They will eventually figure it out.

Tortorella has to be the biggest bonehead... They can't score... So he has them grinding out forecheck reps in practice.

Brutal.

Edit: that was supposed to say "11-2" but for some reason it entered my zip code ha ha. So if u wanna scorer 11 thousand + goals... go ahead lol

We consider 3 goals to be an offensive explosion, hell even 2 goals gets us pretty pumped these days.

Announcers saying he wears a heart monitor. I guess he has some sort of heart condition where it beats erratically (sp?).

Seems like he just returned to the lineup 3 days ago after cardiac issues.

"I'm surprised not to see Elliotte Friedman's name in this mix."

Huge mistake, if you ask me. Friedman is the only one on the panel with any credibility. What does Nick Papageorgio, or whatever his name is, know about Hockey? That's like getting Dennis Miller to be a NFL Commentator.

- Chest Rockwell

After Friedman lost his mind on the Heritage Classic broadcast castigating Canucks fans and blaming the fans for Kirk Mclean's trade (when it was likely that idiot Keenan and his idiot friend Messier who ruined the Canucks), i have doubts about Friedman's mental acuity when it comes to the Canucks and their fans. Also, the guy is clueless when it came to the Canucks fans chanting for Luo. They weren't against Lack, they wanted Luo in net for the big game.

I don't think Friedman apologized after Gillis came out and said he was protecting Luo for the trade the day or two later.

I'm glad Maclean's duties will be limited to coach's corner. I hope he never gets any time out west in particular. Healy, Maclean, etc.. should all be put on a tight leash when it comes to commentary regarding the Canucks... unfair criticism or castigating the fans or B.C. in general with an Eastern bias shouldn't be tolerated at all... I've heard enough living in Toronto from people there about how they feel about B.C.

What? Torontonian's don't have a negative view towards BC at all. Having spent a good chunk of time in both cities, I can assure you that it is significantly more in the other direction.

I had a dream last night that the Canucks scored 5 or 7 goals, I can't remember which. All I know is in my dream I was ecstatic that the Canucks managed to get more than 3... it's a sad day when I have dreams about Canucks scoring goals... when before they used to be the top scoring team in the league and i could dream about other things...

His line up was dressed for the most part last week. He just didn't dress his line up on Sunday when it was already over.

I wonder how long its gonna take for your team to come back and destroy mine. I am dominating tonight so far.
