New Head, Associate, Video, Defence, Goalie coaches as well as Roy and Sakic taking over operations and Kroeke's son taking over as president. Massive overhaul and its panning out

Looking at the roster I would assume that the scouting department is pretty competent as well.

The key take-away here is the "we" you're referring to was, I assume, Avs ownership. Unfortunately in our case, it appears micromanagement from Canucks ownership is a large part of the problem.

Can't blame them for ditching Aramark and doing it on their own. Hopefully this means better service and better beer selection.

Billington and Pearcy are pretty good at their jobs. Besides the Duchene draft year getting O'Reilly and Barrie from the 2nd and 3rd rounds, we havent really hit outside the 1st round gold in a while. Still time with some of the guys down on the farm though.

Picking up Holden, Benoit, and Guenin as AHL cast offs for dirt cheap hasnt been bad either, a lot better than I expected going into the season.

Lack hasn't been the same since the Heritage game. Torts screwed up two goalies with that dumb move. He embarrassed Luongo and put Eddie on the spot to get attacked by stupid fans and media. Torts is always talking about knowing how to push different players' buttons to get results. It appears he doesn't know a single thing about human nature and how to effectively motivate.

Key was getting Kroeke's kid as president, invested interest in the team running it day to day, more likely to support and fund moves that Roy and Sakic want to make. If he doesnt become president I dont think Roy or Sakic come on board and we are looking at a lottery pick again under Sacco

A team like Colorado has been the poops since 2009, thru the draft and some trades they are now in a position to be the of the better teams in the league, this can be done.

I don't see anything close to what the avs have in young stars on this Canucks team ... You can hope for Colorado but this team is closer to the flames model than the avs ....everyone on here can deny that and say you have better peices to trade ....but you still have to trade them and get a good return ...I don't have confidence in anyone working for the Canucks to do this ....so until management proves otherwise you are a bubble team that somehow is capable of hitting rock bottom over and over ....pretty sure flames fans remember this ....even the post game interviews are similar

The current Stars ownership wanted to buy the Canucks with the Aquilini's as partners before Aquilini apparently turned his back on him.

Looking back now, he didnt do too bad of a job. Trading for Varly, Johnson, McGinn and Signing PAP seem to be working out now.
