I don't know who that is, so I'll just assume he's the same person as Brad Pitt. |

Can we just trade his cap hit to another team that needs to hit the cap floor? - FlyersSteve118
If Johnny Gaudreau isn't willing to ink a deal with Calgary, maybe. There would be more going to Calgary. |

If (big if) he gets demoted to the 4th line or has his minutes severely cut, he might silently request out. |

Pronger? Yes, but he makes $4M next season. The season after that, he makes $600k, so it would be much more enticing to a cap floor team.
I think the Bruins traded Tim Thomas to the Isles even though Thomas already said he wasn't going to play.
They're different situations because the Isles could argue they weren't 100% sold he wasn't going to play. Pronger has already come out and said he isn't going to play again. |

More like Tom Hanks. He's Dan Brown's character of choice. |

Tom Hanks will do in a pinch. Although I'm not much for Christian mythology wild goose chases. |

Even if they don't demote him, I don't think he'd be opposed to a trade. He'd want to pick the suitor though. |

So basically the VLC deal is Bryzgalov 2.0. |

IMO, it's worse. No "never again" mandate to explain it, and no apparent need being filled by it. (And no CBO to get rid of it) |

At least he's not a locker room cancer. From most accounts, Bryz was universally disliked |

I think that he might be giving Schenn some pointers on how to win faceoffs, because he really blew at them at the start of this season and now he is actually pretty solid at the dot.
I think a guy like Lecavalier has a lot of intangibles to give a team. He is a heart and soul type of guy and plays his heart out. There is just something wrong with his game right now. I'm not sure exactly what it could be though.
I do think that a few games of him playing on the fourth line back at the center position will help him out though. |

Not exactly. The guy had like 3 personalities. When the good guy, in the zone, quiet bryz showed up to play he dominated. It's just he was in his head the other 2/3 of the time. Crazy dude he was. |

It's not nearly as a bad. Without the CBO Bryzgalov would have ruined the team for the rest of the decade, and they didn't know there would be a CBO when they signed the deal. And Bryzgalov did not suffer a major back injury that would explain some of his poor performance. |

I know. Once he left, a lot of things 'leaked out'. I use quotes because some journalists, clearly, had an axe to grind. |

I wish he'd teach himself how to win a faceoff or two... 44% ain't cutting it.

I'm pretty sure Bryz came with a head injury. |
