The simplest solution that makes the team better is moving B Schenn back to Wing, and Lecavalier back to Center. - MJL
I agree. I'd put him back to center right away and move BSchenn back to wing. This current 2nd line combination is bad enough to cost the Flyers a playoff spot.
If Vinny is still awful back at his natural position, he will have to go down to the 4th line. Tomahawk's lineup would give us 4 lines that can score. If Vinny's upset about ice time he can request a trade back to Tampa this offseason.

They won't trade Couturier. He's the second most important forward on the team. He's the main penalty killer and gets all the toughest defensive assignments. - Feanor
plus, he already has an amazing beard, in addition to missing his top middle teeth. |

Hall can't play on the third line. He can barely handle his 4th line ice time. |

0-6 hurt them, no doubt. so did the incorrect call on the ice for the disallowed goal. i'll never understand making one thing worth more than the other. they were robbed of the game tying goal, simple as that.
i'm surprised it's taken this long for a shero statue to have been made...maybe they wanted to wait until he was finally inducted into the HHOF.
good luck with the book. no doubt it will be a terrific read, entertaining, well written and worthy of shero's legacy.
a bit shocking that harntell's played 500 for the flyers. i never thought he'd last that long.
i agree that vinny needs to get demoted. he's providing not much of anything out there. very disappointing.
having to wait for saturday blows. the wings blow. the jackets are pissing me off and so is just about everything else. lupul. jagr. (frank). off. - hammarby31
the call on Downie typifies what's wrong with refs. He doesn't see any infraction, only a downright embellishment and makes a call. brutal.

No, maybe someone like Vandevelde or Holmstrom, but Hall is not a big minute shut down guy. He is a sheltered 33 year old 4th liner, who struggles in his limited minutes and has one talent, his faceoff skills. |

You would be mean and have an attitude as well if you lived under the Walt Whitman bridge and begged for money with a cardboard sign. I see Couts there every day.

It's certainly not ideal, I agree.
Really wish the NHL was like the SHL... they could dress Vinny as one of the three extras and keep the identities of the top-4 lines intact. |

I think the idea of bringing up Akeson would be interesting though.

And having Hall in the box as our last guy sits pretty well with me as well. That fourth line could actually add some scoring punch. |

I'm hoping last night's game pisses them off and they take it out on Pitt this weekend. |

Just looking at the standings. The following two, hold the last two spots in the division.
Rangers: 66 games played. 74 points.
Columbus: 65 games played. 73 points. One more game won than Philadelphia.
In terms of wild card spots:
Tampa Bay: 65 games played. 75 points
Philadelphia: 65 games played. 73 points
Now... Pulling up the rear. Ottawa, Washington, New Jersey and Detriot are all within 5 points. The one good thing is that the Flyers hold a decent advantage over these teams on the outside, with the amount of games won, when compared to OTL.
Will be a hard fight to the end. |

Honestly, if it were up to me, I wouldn't even have VL in the lineup at all. Even trying to hide him on the 4th-line negates that line's ability to function as an limited energy unit... and as you said, trying to move Hall (or Rinaldo) up the lineup is problematic. |
