Agreed. That's the main reason why I was advocating for him to be traded last summer. He's a great player but always seems to break down leading up to the playoffs. Then we get a hobbling Rambo full of praise for his sacrifice but producing little on that stat sheet.

A knee on knee injury is hardly a "break down".

I bet the twins would retire before agreeing to a trade.

Really I can see them strutting down the streets of Broadway in their Elvis jump suits to the sounds of Stayin Alive

From Jason Botchford:

According to Friedman, Colorado is on Kesler’s list. This is a bit of a game changer.

For starters, Kesler’s agent Kurt Overhardt lives in Denver, and that can’t hurt.

Luongo’s agent Pat Brisson strongly suggested he put together the Canucks-Panthers deal in two days, something Gillis and co. couldn’t do in two years.

Maybe Overhardt can go to work in Denver.

The Avs, obviously, have Ryan O’Reilly, who sets the Canucks hearts aflutter on the regular.

And yes, I know the Avs/Roy love ROR.

But ROR is due a $6.5 million qualifying offer in the summer, and he seems to love his money.

Kinda bugs me that he hasn't gotten a penalty this year, but love to have him on the Canucks. They could sign him to long term deal to avoid the QO.

He fits Gillis's "Top 6 center between the age of 20-25."

I can't help but feel sorry that we got Aquaman as an owner instead of Tom Galardi. I won't imagine that GMMG is going anywhere, and I think Torts is stuck in Vancouver for at least another year. I wish my job came with a guaranteed contract. Aquaman is too cheap, and GMMG is too arrogant to admit a mistake.

I bet the twins are traded at the draft, for a first rounder and a roster player. A deal similar to the Schneider one in terms of tastes in the mouth. Toronto perhaps?
The old Sundin in reverse - then our decent into mediocrity would be complete and we will be the next Nashville or Columbus for years to come.

Thank you, but no thank you.

You're right. My bad. He must just have really bad luck at exactly the same time of every year.

No you're right - he is obviously broken down and left that knee hanging out because he is tired.

He plays reckless and injuries frequently happen to those that are reckless.

He's not reckless.that would imply the guy doesn't play smart.he plays hard and goes all out. Getting injured playing hard is one thing, getting h hurt playing reckless is something else.

That's why you'll never be a GM. Daniel has lost his way, but Henrik is still one of the best passers in the league.

Playing hard, getting injured every year around the same time, and hobbling into the playoffs when your team needs you most is reckless. I know throwing your body around playing at 100% looks very noble but over the course of an 82 game season it isn't a smart application of your efforts.

More like bad coaching - too many minutes. Bad GM'ing - no supporting players to take minutes away from Kes.

This season maybe. Under AV he was safely playing under 20 TOI/game which is normal for a top6er.
