Another step closer to missing the playoffs, determination, execution and results, the 3 things this team has none of |

A joke personified. The New York Rangers. The only guy I fee bad for is Talbot. He mad 4 saves on Parise with Staal, Stepan and Stralman just watching. Couldn't make a 5th. |

Rangers slumping at an awful time. Every (frank)ing team getting points too. Could be on the outside looking in by the end of the weekend. How many times has a third string goalie beaten us over past few years? Sickening |

I haven't been this frustrated with the Rangers in a long time. The Olympic break once again looks like it doomed this team |

MSL with 1 point so far, you had a great career Marty, now just another Ranger that I hate for failing to produce |

There's plenty of guys echo deserve to sit, Hags at least used hid speed tonight! you Gould start with Pouliot, Nash, MSL, Zucc, none of these guys are getting it done, typical Ranger forwards |

You could have kept Moulson and your 1st and 2nd round picks. Hindsight is 20/20. |

Yeah, why even get excited for guys who produced elsewhere?
We could land Crosby and Ovechkin and we still wouldn't score goals. Let's face it, no one that puts on the Ranger sweater can score anymore. |

Wow. Rough room tonight. It is what it is. Another frustrating loss where the offense could not produce on a backup goaltender.
The more I think about it the more I think that the last decade comes down to a cultural issue. It goes back to the Jagr era. The team is filled with nice guys and surrounded by people who accept mediocrity.
There has not been a captain in NY since Messier that would stare someone down for making a bad play or possibly threaten to beat them down in between periods for not pulling their weight. Not to knock on anyone, but who was the last person to put a 'C' or 'A' on their sweater in NY that visibly hated to lose.
I have loved so many players on the teams in recent years and even the team now. But how many of them truly hate losing? To quote Billy Beane "I hate losing more than I love winning." Look at the Avs with Sakic and Roy running the show now. What changed? Neither of those guys are willing to lose and nobody else is allowed to either.
Henrik Lundqvist is the only guy that I can think of who often looks like he wants to smash his stick to pieces or punch someone every time the puck goes in the net. I'm on the fence with Zucc being one as well. Thank goodness Stewart did not come to NY. He definitely doesn't hate losing. Neither does Nash. He played in Columbus for too long and looks like he's used to it.
It's not about heart, skill, or strategy at this point. It's about intensity.
