There's plenty of guys echo deserve to sit, Hags at least used hid speed tonight! you Gould start with Pouliot, Nash, MSL, Zucc, none of these guys are getting it done, typical Ranger forwards
- cranford93

Hagelin has 2 goals in his last 22 games . . . And one of those was an empty netter.

Is it really his shoulders that this should be falling on? I'd put him further down on the list of who to expect goals from, this is a total offensive failure, the stars don't produce like stars and it's going to cost us the playoffs, F this team and all it's overpaid chokers

Enough excuses already just get the f'ing job done

MSL has 1 point in 5 games as a Ranger, previous 5 games games before being acquired 4 goals 2 assists, the sweater is cursed

So, hows everyone doing this morning?? When do we start the buyout Richards and sign Callahan talk?

Frustrated as ever, this team has the capability to have 3 balanced scoring lines but can't score, this is the same team that just on Sunday played a perfect 60 minutes, 5 days later we're witnessing a 180

At least we get to keep our 1st and it'll be in the teens, just high enough to keep the cycle of mediocrity going

And I was OK with the MSL trade bc of the short-term benefit it could have but my fear was always about how the team would play without Callahan. I'm not second guessing the trade but I don't think there is any doubt they miss his presence. But I'm not going to sit here and blame the trade, its up to these guys to grown up, the players that are expected to lead to lead.

I'm not blaming the trade, there is enough leadership to keep this from happening and it's not like we didn't see this when Callahan was still on the team

15 games left, 30 points to be had, how many will the Rangers take and how many will they give away? I'd say they need 20-22 points to make it and at this rate I don't see how they get in, more misery and embarrassment for us Rangers fans is most likely

Its always hard to predict what they will need b/c we have no idea how the other teams will do, but 20-22 points is close to 70%, if thats what they are going to have to get, make vacation plans for April. I'm taking my family to Disney World the week the playoffs start so I was planning on watching Gamecenter while waiting in those lines...I may not have to which will make me the only unhappy person in the "happiest place on earth".

There is just no edge to this team anymore. When was the last time there was a scrum on the ice, let alone a fight? No hate at all out there. It's like they are playing pond hockey. But at least in pond hockey, teams usually score goals.

Plain and simple this team is just too soft!

Its time to stop coddling these guys. I know we need points and its late in the season but I think Nash needs to be sat a game. Its not like he is producing as of late. I know its not smart to do this with your best player but ask Messier and Leetch if it got them going in 94?

If Nash is going to coast and play perimeter hockey than I don't want him. Teams are not respecting his skill anymore because there is no threat of him cutting to the middle and making one of his nasty toe drags like when he was with the BlueJackets.

I have said before on these boards that your size and skill level has no influence on how hard you battle and throw your body around. They are just playing too robotic and without heart/intensity. Not sure how you fix that? Maybe its like the saying "you can't fix stupid" we just have soft players that cannot be fixed.

hate to be negative but its tough to watch guys not laying it on the line every shift!!

And to the point of when players come to NY their production drops...wonder if there are just too many distractions. I have to think in 94 the pressure on Messier to help deliver the cup outweighed those outside distractions (just a thought)

The Rangers aren't going to healthy scratch any of their big guns with 15 games left dude.

I know that is always the popular solution, but it ain't happenin

what they need is to find some chemistry with St. Louis now on the team and find it quick.

They need to keep running them out there and see if they can get it going, at least there is another game immediately tonight.

Not even Carcillo mixing it up. The big knock on AV with Vancouver was that they were easily intimidated. I agree with this, there is no snarl anymore.

I liked Kreider's game last night on that line, so I'd give it a go again. I've been saying move Zucc up with Nash and Step. I thought Zucc was active again and Brass and Pouliot can skate with Hagelin. I just think Zucc is the type of player that you have to keep your stick on the ice at all times bc he will find you. Enough of this balance stuff, its not happening. Take your top 6 forwards and put them on the top 2 lines.

IMO these players are Zuc, Kreider, Nash, Step, Richards, MSL. The third line is a nice combo of speed and secondary skill and the 4th line is what it is and has been what you expect a 4th line to be. Lets go AV, the chemisrty this team had pre-Olympic break is out the window.

It's kind of funny. A knock on Torts was he changed lines to quickly. AV doesn't seem to mix it up enough when things are stale.

AV didn't have to for a while, he started to mix things up a ilttle but he is afraid of breaking up the Brass line, want the brass ring? Break up the Brass line, if Zuc is what make that line go, then why can't he make the top line go? Hagelin playing on that line doesn't do it for me, Hags on most good teams is a 3rd line winger, time for him to play there.

Agree with you dude. But how do you get Nash going? I doubt his issue is chemistry but lack of confidence and willingness to get dirty. If Nash is getting it done it will free up whatever line MSL is on to produce.

Wtf is going on with Staal & Stralman? Every game its a turnover to a goal with those 2. Really concerned about Richards. Doesn't look like he can play a full season anymore. He is so damn slow, barely skates anymore, and avoids contact at all costs. He looks like a shell of him self from the 1st 40 games. And enough with the whole team stick checking, this is the (frank)ing NHL, hit someone! We look like we play in a woman's league most nights regarding contact.

I've praised him for keeping the combos together for as long as he has, something Torts never did and why chemistry was always an issue, you hate to do it so late in the season but all 3 lines should be blown up

I still can't get over that 2nd goal, where the Wild had about 6 wacks at it and Stralman was just laying in the crease playing with himself. No Ranger was within 5 feet of a Wild player

It's just so frustrating to watch this team, I need a checklist right before game time, blood pressure medication, alcohol and antacids. They're ridiculous. I knew sadly, they were going to be less physical, which drives me nuts considering they were soft as a team before they traded Cally, but I mean come on with that play in the crease. I'll never understand why Sather did not have a another deal in place to get this team some size and grit if we're supposedly going for it.
