The Leafs don't play today, but I'm going to play it safe and follow your advice anyways.

I'm pretty sure it's a northern remedy. And preventative medicine is definitely the best.

Needless to say, this home and home is huge. If they could somehow get 3 of 4 points, I think we are on our way to securing a playoff spot. If we come out with 0.. yikes..
- Hextall271

You're right. That was needless.

Need to get the Pens off their game, as usual. PPs are gonna have to be taken advantage of. And stay the hell out of the box.

A home and home with these two teams might be wild. We thought Washington might get snarly earlier this week and were disappointed. I don't think that will happen this weekend.
- Ben37

Me either.. I don't think you guys have a real rivalry with Washington.. it's one that has been promoted and manufactured by the league.. There's no hate really..

I hope Fleury is in playoff form this weekend because we need the points..lol

Jerk! lol I still can't believe how bad our pp looked vs NJ.. I know they have a solid PK, but after the first pp, they got nothing going. I at least expect that this game will be more lively.. NJ bored us to tears in that last game and it was like watching paint dry for me as a fan..

Hopefully they are still bitter/mad about how that game turned out, the wasted opportunities and the disallowed goal at the end...and they take it out on the Pens.

Here's hoping.. I am disappointed Neal isn't playing personally.. that douchebag normally takes a cheap shot and gets the Flyers motivated to kick ass.

That'd be great. If you look at schedules, it will be hard to catch the Rangers. They have a pretty favorable schedule compared to the Flyers.

They need to take this one game at a time. Win tonight and worry about the next one tomorrow.

- PhillySportsGuy

By the end of this weekend the Flyers will have 2 games in hand on Rangers. Gotta think the Flyers win at least one of those games.

In the words of Gandalf the White.

"There never was much hope, only a fools hope."

The playoffs begin today. Lets see what they are made of.

Would it be crazy to ask for a full 60-minute effort today?

Probably.

I am certain that it would be crazy. I think we've had two 60 min efforts since 2012 Game 6 of the pens series and the 5 0 beat down vs Ottawa earlier this year.

Game like today, is where a guy like Downie/Rinaldo should shine.

This is supposed to be their strength, to get top players off of their game, and bait them. I think the hammer is ready to fall on both of their future's with this team, both players need to elevate their games.

All bets are off when these two teams get together. Must be some kind of PA twilight zone. That's what makes it fun.

I think right now they'd keep Rino but let downie walk. I had great hope for him when he was playing great with cooter and read in January but he has completely regressed. Maybe because of injury but wow.

Am I the only one who thinks this upcoming stretch of 12 playoff teams in a row is a good thing?

Beating teams ahead of you is the best way to get ahead of them. Beating teams chasing you is the est way to stay ahead of them.

This team is good enough to beat anyone when they play their game. Hopefully this is motivation enough that we can get a good full game effort. I think it will happen.
