really torn right now, always want your team to make the playoffs, but it might be better if they don't, and we can pray that new ownership will clean house starting with the GM. if the devils make the playoffs, even if they get swept in the 1st round that will buy lou ,PDB at least another season.

If we miss Lou will make up for it at the draft with a blockbuster trade for a player in their prime I would think lol he might go after spezza

Flyers and Columbus just aren't slowing down any ( I know we just beat the Flyers ) It's going to be a very tough task to make the play offs. I kind of hope we lose one or two more in a row. Maybe we will role with a lot of the kids, if we know we aren't making it. To get a real good look at it before the draft. I would like to get a look at how Boucher, Matteau, Larsson, Gelinas, Merril all look like playing in the same game.

I would like to see Elias and Henrique not get split up anymore. That be sweet.

It's going to be to tough none of the teams we need to lose are and we aren't really winning we are 4-4 this month and we are basically 50-50 every month nothing has changed and nothing will chance there is like how many games left I think we have seen what this team is they are never going to be more consistant or at least not this year.

Still want to see Elias and Henrique together. Henrique started going on a tear and what happens? coach genius splits them up so Henrique can skate with all-stars Ryder and Zubrus. What's Albany's record any way i never look even close to the playoffs?

Watch Josefson who actually looked decent last night. Was moving his feet and the puck pretty well will probably be scratched. Instead of Bernier or Ryder who (frank)ing should be. All PDB does is the same stupid poop all year it's so annoying. Please keep rolling me out some Sal and Anton i just love it so much. Best dpair ever.

The thing is that we won't, they might get the last game of the season like last year but that's it.

Its so frustrating because Pete does do a great job providing a system and getting the most out of his players. His roster selections are just stupid.

I know it's brutal this whole thing is going to end up bad it just seems the only thing that seems to happen is the worst case scenario. Marty will play to many games down the stretch for Cory's liking and he won't resign. Marty will walk. I just think every thing would of been better off had we just took the bullet and moved Marty for any return. Just to avoid the mess that could happen. If we are going to suck can we please at least be exciting like we are so god damn boring all the way through out the entire franchise. We desperately need to revamp the image a little. The NHL today is as much about everything to do off the ice as it is on it. Unlike in the 90's. Need a culture change perhaps.

It actually looks like Boucher has started to struggle to produce lately in Albany as his point total hasn't changed much in the last few weeks. Can't say how excited I am for the draft. I just can't help but feel Lou makes a big deal similar to the Schneider deal. When I say similar I mean a similar caliber of player around the same age as Cory to kind of retool and keep fighting for play offs year after year. I also am really hoping we land the steal of the draft at 30. How much would that piss everyone off if we got one of the better players out of this coming draft with the pick we "shouldn't even have "

I think we would be pretty well off if Lou managed to land a player in their prime at the draft + draft at least 1 decent forward and although he will never live up to the contract signed Callahan. I think we would be more then ok moving forward to not need to rebuild.

Yup, its just one of many problems. Hell, we didn't even have to trade him, just play Schneider and not give in to Marty, but everytime Marty goes whining to the media about his playing time Pete caves and plays him. I don't even think we need to revamp our image, the organization needs to get back to what made it great and that was putting winning above all else.

until it's over, I will continue to hope. Rags and Columbus will either get that 3rd spot, or we (and them) have a chance at the 2nd wildcard spot. NY also has 1 more gp than us, after tonight's .. hopefully after tonight's loss. Philly is playing well, but they're also not out of reach. 14 more games left. 28 possible points. That's a lot to win or lose. We're only 5 points back. It's still possible.

9-3-2 should get us in, or 10-4-0.

.. just about doomed. 1 win at a time. Florida should've been 1 of them. I don't like being on this end of things. It was more fun fighting for the division banner.

That's the thing though they haven't been able to win more then 3 games in a row all season. I know you can go with out winning 3 in a row in 9-3-2 situation but still I don't think they can because every time something goes wrong they make to many changes. They win a game start the next game with the same lines go down in the first and we are scrambling lines the rest of the game there just isn't enough time for this team to get it's poop together. The goalies and players never seem to be on the same page. I just think to many things have to go right for it to realistically happen.

I still want this team in the playoffs, I still think they are good enough to be there, I just don't see them making the cut. We've been 5 points back all season. Before Friday's game I looked at these two games in Florida as must win games but they were also perfect let down games, like against Detroit and every other important game the team didn't show up for. Its brutal how predictable this team is, we'll be 5 points back after game 82.

Our defense is not made for the playoffs.
Our goalies won't stand a chance if we get in.

This will be true as long as our captain still gets playing time. I'd rather see Ken Daneyko suit up again than Sal at this point.
