Not a pressing concern with Bieksa, Hammer, Edler & Garrison all signed for several more years. I'd never draft a defenceman with a high pick, unless he was an extremely high-end player...even then, they seemingly take forever to develop.
For every Drew Doughty, there's several Eric Johnson's or Jay Bouwmeester's that take some time to develop. You can find good dmen in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.
