I still think Crosby would be one of the leagues top scorers even if he had to play with these line mates. As a Flyers fan, though, he doesn't scare me nearly as much with these guys. Its much easier to match up with them. - PhillySportsGuy
ill say. just have three people collapse on him, dont let him build up speed, and force him to pass the puck. the person on the receiving end, if they dont immediately lose it through their stick/skates, lacks the ability to do anything but promptly dump the puck into a corner and plod off after it. rinse and repeat. |

I don't think there has ever been a statement that I disagree with more. The Flyers deserve a ton of credit for the 4 points this weekend. And handily beating a still dangerous Pens team. - MJL
I never said they don't deserve credit. They don't deserve a ton of credit no. Pens have the luxury of losing these games when their injured, we do not.

you guys have the depth that the pens lack, but even you guys would struggle a bit with say sacrificing the counterparts to a neal, kunitz, dupuis, bennett, letang, and martin. |

Losing the defenseman would hurt the most. Flyers defense is already pretty weak. |

Interesting read. Pens bottom lines may end up being their undoing in the playoffs. |

been over this one a lot in here. phillies: i mean i dont have a rational answer for it other than why are you guys the fans of whoever you follow. ive lived in philadelphia my whole life, as a little kid, you love baseball. they were the team i watched. they were the team you went to see. i was too young to appreciate anything of the 93 run, but i dont know. even though they were never good they were just baseball.
pens, i respected mario the most of anything, and absolutely loved jagr. thought he was the most bad ass thing around. never liked lindros as a kid. thought he was a stuck up priss. then as i got to actually know and appreciate the game more, i always liked the finesse side more as opposed to the throngs of people championing the "bullies" mentality. |

so in forward ranks, it would be comparable to say voracek, simmonds, and read. and on the back end, coburn and your choice of timonen or now amac. |

Hartnell-Giroux-Art Ross Akeson
Raffl-Schenn-VL
Downie-Couts-McGinn
Rinaldo-Hall-Vandevelde
Edit: I think Read Simmonds and Voracek are all top 6 forwards whereas Bennett is not. |

I know. I think losing Bennett would be akin to losing Raffl. Read is one of our 5 best forwards. |
