this is pretty ridiculous on a number of levels but mainly, pretty sure there's a lot more counter-evidence to your goalie theory than there is for gravity and evolution.

But most teams have no plan after their two first goaltenders.

Macintyre is a career AHL goaltender... if you're stuck relying on him, you're pretty much (frank)ed either way.

And Tokarski is still young at 24 years old... might have what it takes to take over the backup spot over Budaj if he keeps improving... so they're not completely in the same situation.

I like Tokarski.....as for Mac.....I think he'd do well as an NHL backup---wouldn't count on him over the long haul, but I think he got the poopty end of the stick with NHL teams believing bigger is better.
