Ah, I missed that, the 17-30 bit.
But okay. Let's use the 1993 Phillies as an example. Assuming they actually won that year, they were pretty awful in all of the surrounding years. So, come the 1995 draft, their records from 94, 92, 91, and 90 are going to far outweigh their one good year, and they could conceivably draft in the top 5. - jmatchett383
Pretty much... the hockey equivalent would be the 'Canes... Cup bookended by consecutive seasons of missing the PO's... although the post-Cup Lavi 'Canes barely missed those years. |

He seems to like it here. He talked about how good his experience with the organization was despite having his career nearly come to an end. - PhillySportsGuy
they could each do a lot worse. i'd like to see him come back. |

Our hockeybuzz fantasy draft. We have 7 people so far, we'd need 30. - jmatchett383
I want all the Corsi players. |

That happened anyway.

If the worst team could have dropped out of the top-5, my money would have been on the Flyers picking #6, lol.
Then again, that might have netted them Jake or Logan Couture. |

I dont like it. Instead of stopping a team from tanking for 1 season to get a player, you have them tank for 4-5 seasons so they end up with 8-9 high draft picks.
Example year 1 of sucking they will have mid level pick
Year 2 will have a slightly lower pick
Year 3 Lower around top 5
Year 4 Top 5
Year 5 Top 5
Then they start to get better
Year 6 still top 5
Year 7 still top 5
Year 8 Likely top 10

I like Emery and would be happy if he came back. I would want someone on par with him backing up though. I don't want them to assume Heeter can do it or try to go with a cheap option like when they signed Leighton for last season. I want a legit backup. Someone who can play 20 games. |

Its not like they totally whiffed. It was just unlucky they missed out on Kane and it wasn't a very strong draft. |

I think we'd need more than one judge anyway. We'd need a group. Basically, we need some form of evaluation. |

Halak may look for a place where he can fight for starting time. Wouldn't be surprised if he re-signed with Wash. |

How about we come together as GMs and vote for another person's team other then our own, and talley the votes. |

I don't appreciate your democracy.
Also, that leans towards personal bias (i.e. I'm picking whichever team has Shea Weber) |

I don't think that will work. Needs to be an unbiased entity. |
