His goals as contrasted to his +/- is staggering and hilarious.
- FlyersFirst

i know. and im not even a huge plus minus guy. all the talent in the world. but he is so far from crosby/giroux that it isnt even a debate anymore.

I would've rather kept him and shipped Gross for picks.

I loved when he threw Toews down in the third
Toews got up and looked at the ref like
Where's the call? I'm a superstar

Haha

Stars out of a playoff spot now. They are really struggling. Wonder if the Peverley incident took something out of them.
- PLindbergh31

I imagine. They are a young team. I'm hoping Bill does the switch-up thing like he usually does when the Flyers play the Stars. I like hearing a detailed writeup of another team.

Nice to see you. Hope all is well.

Just about missed this. Hard to do this chat thing on the tablet. How are things on the boardwalk? Mame Tangent doing okay in her new position?

He's very good at exiting the zone. Thats such a huge thing on this team. His stretch pass to Vinny was outstanding too.
- PhillySportsGuy

amac is a hell of a player. not elite at anything, but good at everything. simple. effective. good in his own zone, and may not be a premier flashy point guy, but he is pretty good in transition.

Thomas did not exactly look good in Lehtonen,s absence

He's quite one dimensional. If he has Kuznetsov and Backstrom setting up in future years, he can afford to be.

seriously, he's bordering on teen wolf right now.
- hammarby31

I've heard of a player giving someone the stinky glove in the face, what about the stinky beard? Looks like that thing could just extend and pull some player in and take a limb off.

he's a good player. he just needs to stay healthy and have a steady decent partner. i get why they moved him, and i'm not complaining with andy mac. he doesn't have the shot that mesz has, but he's better in his own end by a country mile.
- hammarby31

Yep. If they had no designs on re-signing him, it made sense to move him. He's stayed relatively healthy this year, but it would be a risk giving him a contract. Pairing him with Chara is the perfect situation. Chara can erase a lot of his defensive lapses, and frees him up to play an offensive game.

Are you saying this is not his final form?

I look into his beard and gaze into a black hole of defense.

Not going to be long before the Flyers have one of the League's top 1-2 punch up the middle. Maybe the GM halfway knows what he's doing when he has refused to trade Couturier?

Those kind of guys are worth their weight in gold. We saw the step back the Flyers took from losing a similar player in Carle. I would really like to retain MacDonald unless they have a different plan. They, clearly, need a player like him though.

I still can't believe Giroux played 27 minutes. Who does he think he is, Ryan Suter?

I know. Such a weapon to have a true shutdown center and elite top line center.

Lehtonen returned tonight and the Pens lit him up. Kunitz and Neal were both back in the lineup. It was announced Friday Neal was out indefinitely with a concussion and he was back in 4 days. I thought there was a league protocol where you had to sit out a certain period of time when diagnosed with a concussion.

When you watch how he is capable of playing, and how he makes the Flyers defense better. I wonder why it's said he's not worth 5M a year?

He and AMac could potnetially be a big minute eating pairing next year.
