Yes he is. Multiple teams will offer more than $4M - PhillySportsGuy

Speaking of Couturier's beard, it's kind of appropriate that the Flyers lead the league in gingers, no? - johndewar
Do they? |

When I see $5M, I expect a little more offense, but I would definitely pay it. You can't let guys like that walk. Just overpay if you need to. - PhillySportsGuy
I don't think he pulls a Hamhius. I would be surprised if he doesn't get resigned, the Flyers usually are more then willing to pay a little extra to get someone they want. He is a minutes eater and is already paying dividends limiting the mileage on Kimmo.

All he wants to do is be a sniper and could give a frank about anyone or anything else. Wonder what a Richard he must be as a "leader" in the locker room.
Seriously, How many 10000x over would you rather have G on your team that that headache? - FlyersFirst
i mean ill give you the obligatory (frank) G answer just because, but literally you would need scientific notation to use how many thousands of times over i would pick him over OV. |

So you won't pay an extra 500k-$1M to retain a top 4 dman? On a team with very few two-way dmen. |
|

|
No doubt. He's just not a $4 million dollar player. That's not to say he's not a useful player. I'd have taken that money too if I were him. - johndewar
I would rather have Meszaros at 4 mil, than Grossman at 3.5 mil. Grossmann is better defensively, but Meszaros is more mobile, better offensively, they are both injury risks. |

Flyers rarely trade for a guy like this then let him walk. Its just not something Homer normally does. |

The entire first line and Couturier are gingers.
I refuse to believe anyone has more.
Also, I think we lead the league in "Dudes named Brayden". |

I think he dumber than Carcillo, bit I loved Carbomb! - flyerdude17
Similar players. Downie has more offensive upside, although you wouldn't know it this year. |

That would depend on what you're looking for. If you want a stay home physical defensman to play on the PK. You choose Grossmann. If you want more of an all around player, who can chip in offense, then Meszaros. If he can get healthy and get his physical edge back, some team is going to get a solid defenseman next Season.

So would I. He's replaceable. Maybe even in house replacement. - PhillySportsGuy
I think Laughton is going to make the team next year. No sense in spending a few million for a place holder, when he is cheaper and can be equally effective. |

Another good thing, VL seems to be warming up and finding his game. If that continues, it makes the Flyers just that much more dangerous going down the stretch. |

Oh wait. I thought you were talking about Amac. Yeah, Mez isn't worth more than 2-3M at most for one year. He;d be lucky to get that.

No, I was referring to Mez.
I'm squarely on "Team Kimmo" for next year. And I like that AMac has given them not only one competent blue liner, but two of them, because I think he makes Luke Schenn better. |
