Andy MacDonald is the savior
- Winning

oddly enough, it kind of feels that way. Somehow he was the last piece of a mediocre puzzle. I wasn't sure what the point in swapping out Mez for MacDonald, but after seeing him for a few games, I'm extremely happy they did.

They're gelling at the right time. Make it to the playoffs and anything can happen.

They came out passive last night, got down by 2 rather quickly and turned it around. That shows me something.

I felt like, earlier this year, they might have rolled over after that start.

How'd they do last night? I'm assuming it was a huge, dismantling loss.

I don't think they came out passive. A bad drop pass, compounded by poor coverage by the same player. Along with a bad goal on a shot that should've been a routine save led to getting down 2-0. I thought they were up on their skates from the opening puck drop.

Hopefully that's not a trap game between Chicago and St. Louis. But the Flyers should use the last game against Dallas as motivation.

Hard to call it a trap game when Dallas is a good team

Yeah, they rolled the Flyers down in the Dallas. I'm sure they'll be reminded of that fact.

They've been struggling and are outside of a playoff spot. I hear what you're saying, but they aren't in the class of Chicago or St. Louis.

Any word on Simmonds? He took a bit of a pounding in the Bickell fight and I don't think I saw him in OT at all.

Yeah I know they're not Chicago or STL, but hey- they're not the Sabres either.

And like a poster said a few up from here, the Stars crushed us last time we played. I'm sure they'll be up for some revenge

giroux snubbed by nhl network tonight. neither a star of the night, nor even a top 5 play of the night. (frank)ing disgrace.
- hammarby31

Are you shocked? Those highlights have 2 agenda items. Commercials for teams with very low fan-bases, and pushing teams the NHL holds up as poster children.
I agree it's BS, but I lost respect for them a long time ago.

With 2 big wins over the Pens and the fact that they were starting a goalie that hadn't played in 3 weeks, I was expecting a slow start. I really love the resiliency of this team and the way they never give up! Can't wait for tomorrows game!!

Plus the have Nunchuckov, who is apparently the greatest power forward of all-time and a surefire bet to demolish all of Gretzky's records within a year or two.

I remember JJ saying he was out of the box and on the ice... I didnt see any post game stuff about him being out, and he looked pretttttty pumped up after the fight.. Throwing his hands up in the air getting the fans going. Id say he is okay, but idk for sure.

As bad as he looked in that fight, I dont think he really got beat up too bad.

Exactly, hard to be a trap game when the team you are playing thoroughly whipped your butt last time you played them. I think they come out firing on all cylinders tomorrow night!

I get the sarcasm, but the kid is a hell of a player. He has really cooled off over the past few months. He was on fire last time we met them.

Okay, I just didn't remember seeing him, but like you said, he didn't look too worse for wear.
I'll give Bickell full marks for not beating on him after he fell down. Can't say the same about Brookbank after taking it from Zac.

He was on the bench and was one of the first guys to hit the ice and congratulate Giroux after the game. He had a huge smile on his face as well, so I'm guessing he was ok.
