Yeah I know they're not Chicago or STL, but hey- they're not the Sabres either.

And like a poster said a few up from here, the Stars crushed us last time we played. I'm sure they'll be up for some revenge

That's what I'm hoping, that they use the last game against Dallas as motivation, so there is no letdown.

Fantastic win last night. That was a very exciting game to watch.. and obviously loved the result. I have watched the replay of G's goal several times, and it's hard to see how it went in.. what a shot! Now come back with Mase and keep it rolling vs a solid Dallas club.

I still can't believe we hit 6 posts last night and still won!

I remember JJ saying he was out of the box and on the ice... I didnt see any post game stuff about him being out, and he looked pretttttty pumped up after the fight.. Throwing his hands up in the air getting the fans going. Id say he is okay, but idk for sure.

As bad as he looked in that fight, I dont think he really got beat up too bad.

Considering the physical disadvantage Simmonds had in that fight, I thought he protected himself as well as he could.

The problem I had is that he shouldn't be fighting a ham and egger like like Bickell at all and certainly not at that point in the game.

I was thinking the same thing. There was a delayed reaction in the crowd (common theme with OT games vs. Chicago) because no one was sure it went in; I was counting the on the trickler going in. But on replay, I can see the net move, so it must have gone it. Was one heck of a hard shot.

.....hate to say I told you so.

Let's keep this train rollin against Dallas

I'm happy you were right.

Just some things that I noticed in last nights game.

First MacDonald really balances out this defense. I have said it before these defenseman aren't bad, they just weren't good together. I think MacDonald allows for the perfect pairing that compliment eachother.

Second. Lecavalier looks like a man possesed. He is standing out more then anyone else IMO outside of Giroux as far as creating scoring chances. Its a shame the line is so slow as a unit and not stong defenively that they get pinned in thier d-zone so much.

Yeah, I wasn't happy about the trade-off, but at the same time, I'm at least happy he showed he won't back down from bigger guys. Every now and then, nice to remind everybody.

Agreed on Lecavalier, but last night, he reminded me of Ville Leino. Was very, VERY good at carrying the puck and handling it in tight, and then...nothing, either a turnover of blocked shot. But he's definitely showing signs of improvement, very strong on the puck.

Not Flyers-related, but if you haven't seen this, you need to. A 17-year-old with a life-threatening heart condition got to basically be a Shark for a day.

This is why I hate seeing them on the ice in the last minute of the period when the Flyers are leading or the game is tied, they just scare the heck out of me in the defensive zone.

I don't think anyone questions VL's skills or his hockey sense, just his lack of footspeed and his defensive play especially now that he is at a new position. It wouldn't be much of an issue if the other guys on the line were strong defensively, but it is what it is

I saw G's reaction and knew it went in, but didn't really see it go in on the shot (before the trickle) until I got home.

How'd they do last night? I'm assuming it was a huge, dismantling loss.
- jmatchett383

No, that was what I witnessed in Ottawa last night. Arena was 3/4 empty with 10 to go, hilarious.

I'm a fan of the 21-second clock kill against Boston in Game 7, personally. He's got so many:

- "The Shift"
- The clock kill
- 2009 ECQF Game 3, outhustling the Pen's D, going behind the net twice to feed Gagne for a SHG
- SCF Game 3 OT

That looked bad. I looked up at the scoreboard across the way and said, "Wow, nice: Ottawa beat the Rangers 4-0." Then I looked a little harder and said, "Oh poop, that's an 8."

Did you see the pass a Mac delivered to Vinny to give him a clear break? Wow. He's not always so spectacular but a solid pick up by homer for sure.

The only Senator that looked good last night was Zibanejad, even Karlsson played like crap.

Not going to be long before the Flyers have one of the League's top 1-2 punch up the middle. Maybe the GM halfway knows what he's doing when he has refused to trade Couturier?

I find it funny that we were arguing over Karlsson yesterday then he went and got a -3. One game means nothing. I just find it coincidental.

When was the last time the Rangers were in a high scoring game like that? I guess the culture has officially changed with Callahan out and MSL in.

My buddy and I were streaming the Flyers feed on my cell in the stands at the Sens game last night, it was much better entertainment. A few Sens fans behind us were watching too.

Great composure by our boys after getting down 2-0 early. Ray shook off the rust after that, Giroux went into beast mode late and took those 2 points for them. Not a bad start to the dirty dozen, 3 down 9 more to go. Couts and Read will hopefully shut down Benn/Seguin next game.
