Claude Giroux is 4th in the NHL in scoring and is 3 points away from tying Ryan Getzlaf for second place.

Just wow.

- jmatchett383

But he had only 7 assists after he 15 games, I thought we all agreed he sucks??

All kidding aside, he is playing as well as anyone in the league right now and if he keeps this up and the Flyers finish solidly in 2nd in the Metro, he needs to be in the discussion for the Hart Trophy.

If he had a decent start to the season he would be all alone in second place in scoring. Probably within 10 points or less of Crosby.

He's got to be in consideration for the Hart trophy.

On NHL radio this morning the hosts were wondering if after a long season the Hawks were finally suffering from a post Cup letdown.

I think they are still a team no one looks forward to playing in the playoffs and one of the favorites as well.

They're coasting. They are set to play Colorado in the first round. They know they can beat them without having home ice advantage.

I wouldn't be too worried as a Hawks fan. This team is experienced and knows when to get things going. If they are still going through the motions by the end of the season, I'd worry a little bit.

If you look at his numbers after the 15 game mark they are ridiculous.

To me right now he is the definition of your best player being your best player and leader.

He wants the puck when it matters..You see him directing people during the powerplay and positioning people prior to face offs. It is a pleasure to watch right now.

That shot was fueled by destiny and pure awesome, no player could have stopped it.

The puck saw Couturier's beard and was intimidated into the net.

This guy would have caught it in his teeth, and spit it out to the blueline as an outlet pass.

Plus as others have said, I think they were looking a bit ahead to a "statement game" against St. Louis tonight.

Duncan Keith is flat out awesome. He can do it all. There was a debate yesterday over choosing Keith or Karlsson. No brainer for me. Keith all the way.
- MJL

It has more to do with age too. Keith is in his prime as a two-way defender. Karlsson has gotten better defensively. He still needs to improve, but he's still very young.

It's like comparing Kesler and Couturier. We need more time to determine who is better in their primes.

Hawks didn't play well last night, a lot of that has to do with the Flyers. They are playing the Blues tonight as well, so perhaps some of their focus was shifted.
- PLindbergh31

We definitely didn't get the A+ Hawks effort. Thats for sure. Ill take the points though!

This guy would have squared to the shot, left a gaping hole between his legs, and gotten a 2-year extension

If Yzerman had hindsight, do you think he would have chosen MSL?

Absolutely

Denis Potvin and Paul Coffey were both all offense and weak defensively when they first entered the league. Potvin worked at his game and became one of the best and most complete dmen of all time. Coffey, while amazingly skilled and dangerous offensively, remained a defensively liability his entire career.

The jury is still out on Karlsson, right now I'd take Keith, Weber, Suter, Chara and probably a few others over him, but in a few more years, who knows?

I hear the league is reviewing all Flyers wins this season, after initial reports suggest none of them count due to a plethora of excuses.

Hopefully they pay back the Stars tomorrow night. The game in Dallas was on of their worst performances of the year.
