I dont see him as an upgrade on any defender we currently have. Overrated if you ask me and he will probably have a high asking price. We need someone to fill Timonens skates at least. We havent even found a replacement for Pronger. Niskanen wont do that. |

He's rested. And I heard he got a hardware upgrade while he was out on IR, so we're good. He's got this. |

And your point?
Do you rember how poorly the team in front of him played?
The Flyers come out hard, skate well, and shove up all the haters' asses and beat this team tonight. |

And I don't think Wellwood is coming back. - Feanor
What makes you think that. They signed him to a contract so obviously they still see a place for him in the orginization. As long as when he heals he still has his speed, he would be a great 4th line shutdown guy that can contribute. Kind of like Boom-Boom Powe. |

My point is we need a goaltender that can move laterally (Mason) against the highest scoring team in the league. Emery is not capable of stealing a game against this team. He is slow, his glove hand sucks and he has a sub par save % for good reason. |

I think Morin is Physically ready. If AHL were an option I would send him down there. But the guy is WAY to big to keep playing agaisnt these Kids in juniors. Its frustrating him now, and will continue to do so.
I think 3rd pairing minutes would be fine for him to learn. - SchennBros
is he dominating though? hes progressing but i wouldnt say hes dominating the Q |

I think this defense is MUCH better then what we have now, and would be great a puck movement. Defense would be improved just by being able to get the puck out of the zone twice as fast.

And Shelter Morin a bit because of his youth, and Streit because of his age. You dont have to worry about wearing down Timonen or Grossmann anymore either. |

Why are we assuming he's going to need to stand on his head?
Seems like every game he's played this year, the flyers have been atrocious in front of him. Why don't we look at that instead of jumping down the throat of the goalie like sheep.
The flyers can win this game tonight if the for echeck hard and move their feet. That's the winning formula and if the play that game, the can beat any team in the league. The talent and depth is there. |

Looks like we lack a #1 defender. Not gonna cut it. Worse than this season. They need to make a trade for a Legit D-Man |

I doubt Niskanen leaves the Pens, unless it's for a big payday that we can't afford and shouldn't be interested in. |

I see the flyers going a cheaper route as there will be a ton a UFA Dmen in this off season
Quincey, Hainsey, Stralman, Robidas, Salo, Sarich. You know, limited guys that will be "cheaper' but we will still have to oer pay to get them. |

They are atrocious in front of any goalie we put in the net. Mason just seems to be able to make the saves. Thats the difference. |

I guess the Forwards and Defense are really going to have to crack down to limit quality chances against them.
I dont Emery tonight because this team spent an entire year shooting on him in practice. But I understand why since Mason does need a rest. In this haul, maybe better to throw Emery against the toughest team and hope for a win and keep Mason rested for games they have a better shot at winning... |
