Just think: one day, you'll be partner at a law firm. You'll be able to have a suite at Penguins' games, several inter-office flings and a few mistresses your wife (or husband, whatever) doesn't know about, maybe a dog or two, and an ample army of interns to cover up any messes you create. |

That's how they ran the Crosby Lottery.
Hmmm should we put him in LA or give him to Mario?
MARIO IT IS!!!! - mayorofangrytown
See. Bettman is smarter then you guys give him credit for. All the pieces of paper in the lettery draft for Crosby said Pittsburgh...... |

I still think its 50/50. He can still clearly play, but I believe he had mentioned he wants time to spend with his family. So its a coin toss if you ask me. - Streit2ThePoint
At this point I think he'll come back. Maybe pull a Scott Niedermayer and skip the start of the season. That would help with the cap, even if he just skipped training camp and signed as soon as Pronger went on LTIR. |

He said he doesn't want to keep playing if he can't continue to play at a high enough level. I think what he means is that he doesn't want to be a third pairing defenseman.
He's still got plenty of game left. I would LOVE to see the Flyers win a cup, but it would be especially special to do it with Timonen. |

If he wants to spend time with his family, we could always bring Jussi back. |

They should just pay him a million bucks to play and promise him some bogus "scouting" job with the team next year for the other 5mil. lol. |

I just want to point out how good Downie has been 2 of the last 3 games.
Last night, he was the Steve Downie we wanted when we got him. He was in on the forecheck, won board battles, had his feet moving, and didn't look like a deer in headlights when he had the puck. He played the same way Saturday.
I've been bashing him, but if he can play that way on a nightly basis, I'll gladly eat my words.
Also, what the hell was up with the offensive zone shift where Rinaldo was out with Lecavalier and Schenn? He actually looked pretty good, although that was probably because the Hawks would rather him have the puck than the other 2. |

a) Goal = win
b) time frame = undetermined.
Basically, there will be some criteria set forth for different categories (who knows, we may even create trophies...for instance, team with best chance to win now gets the Ed Snider award) as to the roster strength. It will take place as soon as we have enough people. It is open to all HB users. We currently only have 12 particpants, so we may go with just 20. Currently, we have:

I think that was right after simmonds was in the box for fighting.
And Steve Downie did look pretty solid. If you can barely tell he's on the ice that is a very good thing.

Cuz PhillySportsGuy wants to know when the first defenseman and goalie will be picked. It's all in the name of science, but we need some motivation to actually pick a good team. |

Because!
Also, there will be multiple categories judged, not just "who has the best combination of goals, assists, and penalty minutes?" |

But the average person despises everything about you, because you take advantage of the system your sworn to uphold.... finding loopholes to get guilty people out of a rap, or fabricating evidence and pushing for a conviction whether innocent or guilty.
Or worse you could be an ambulance chacer, who's frivilous lawsuits are the reason haelth and car insurance are almost unafordable.
Or a tax lawyer that will find tax loopholes for multi-million dollar coprorations while I have to give 40 some percent of my pay over to the governement.
Either way, as you rape your way through our legal system, it will give you the experience and training that will suit you perfectly to run in politics. By the time you become a senator any morality is long since gone, and you use tax payer monies to fly a provate jet to the Phillipines to visit children hookers and write it off as embassadoral duties.
Then once your ready to retire, you hand your Senate seat over to your Son, who has follow your footsteps exactly despite not really knowing who you are, and despising you, but since you paid his way though highschool, college, and grad school, now he has a free ride into politics on your name....
Please.... DROP OUT. |

I hear it, but no one made them do drugs.
I'd rather they be required to do public service, and the fined for failure to do so. |
