I may not agree with him, but I always love a good rant.

5 is the most I ever remember seeing in one game. I was definitely starting to get worried it just wasn't our night, especially after that disallowed goal... |

Sorry, I'm not cool with raising a daughter in a world where people can just walk around shooting up heroin and snorting coke on the street corner. - jmatchett383
A lot of the reason drug use and Alcohol is so abused here in America is because of the restrictions we put on them.
In other countries they have a general rule, if you can see over the bar you can order an alcoholic beverage, and you know what... Alcohol is not nearly abused there, because its not a rebelious, over indulgence that it is here.
If you legalize hard drugs there would be a short period of time that would be painful. No doubt. But like I said, a lot of the people would solve their own problems by either overdosing, or bindging so hard they hit rock bottom and will want nothing more to do with it. Eventually society will change. There wont be drug dealers pushing harder drugs. A lot of people will stop with thier pot.
Crime will go down, because no you no longer have a small supply, s the drgs become cheaper, and crime will be reduced. You will also generate tax revenue just like you do from alcohol and tobacco, not to mention the billions you would save not paying for the "war on drugs" and paying for people jailed for drug offenses.
And at the same time, you end drug smuggling into the US, and Terrorists being funded by drug money.
I dont use Illegal drugs, but I am 100% for "responcible" de-criminialzation of narcotics. |

The team is playing extremely well lately. Great two way hockey, puck support, team cohesion and plenty of intensity throughout the lineup.
Giroux and Couturier are so impressive, they really carried the team in these last 3 games. Read, Simmonds, Macdonald, Coburn and Kimmo also seem to have elevated their game play and intensity.
Luke Schenn and Lecavalier have flashes of brilliance here in there, but they execute way too many low percentage plays, resulting in multiple turnovers.
Luke Schenn lacks that patience, that fraction of a second with the puck, he often feels pressured and gets rid of the puck a bit too early in my opinion.
I think Lecavalier is bringing down that 2nd line. When Hartnell was with B.Schenn and Simmonds, they had great cohesion and more importantly, they were contributing in the goal department. Lecavalier doesn't back check, creates low percentage plays. He was injured and he is probably still not 100%. He is also playing a new position this year, but with that said, I still don't see where he fits on this team.
Chief, switch up the 2nd PP unit already.

I think Luke Schenn has looked real good lately. His Stretch pass to hit Vinny on the breakaway against Pittsburgh was a thing of beauty. |
