stop stop! i try hard to silence the emotional heartstrings on this one. because part of me feels this way. although howard i think theyre stuck with either way. the amount of money theyd need to eat on his deal to move him, theyd be better off just keeping him. - stayinthefnnet
I can't separate. Those sons of female doges won the only Philly (Wings/Phantoms/Soul don't count) championship of my lifetime, and as the cornerstones, I will live with them all going 0-for-lifetime and Hamels going 0-25 every year with a 34.23 ERA. |

Both Schenn and Vinny have had moments but have been inconsistent.....I think Schenn has been better of late, although last night he wasn't quite as good. That's to be expected, against maybe the fastest team in the NHL. Since Macdonalds arrival Schenn has looked good, perhaps 14 or so minutes a game is a good mark for him right now......as far as Vinny, I think he actually needs to change him game a bit and use his strength down low....I am actually pretty impressed with how strong he is....he's lost a step, but his play the last few games has trended upwards.....he still has the slick mitts for sure.....as far as were he fits, he's in the first year of a five year deal, so perhaps his place will change over time, but for now...the answer is second line wing. - landros 2
Lecavalier got open in the slot about three times last night, but every single time he was looking for a pass and not a shot. If he would just shoot the puck instead of looking for a pass I am pretty sure that he would have had a goal last night. AMac had an incrdible pass that was more like a long distance give and go by lecavalier that sprung him on a nice little breakaway there. |

Terrible karma posting something like this while the Flyers are playing their best hockey of the year. 5-1 loss tomorrow vs. Dallas, while a key player is concussed. - PLindbergh31

A lot of the reason drug use and Alcohol is so abused here in America is because of the restrictions we put on them.
In other countries they have a general rule, if you can see over the bar you can order an alcoholic beverage, and you know what... Alcohol is not nearly abused there, because its not a rebelious, over indulgence that it is here.
If you legalize hard drugs there would be a short period of time that would be painful. No doubt. But like I said, a lot of the people would solve their own problems by either overdosing, or bindging so hard they hit rock bottom and will want nothing more to do with it. Eventually society will change. There wont be drug dealers pushing harder drugs. A lot of people will stop with thier pot.
Crime will go down, because no you no longer have a small supply, s the drgs become cheaper, and crime will be reduced. You will also generate tax revenue just like you do from alcohol and tobacco, not to mention the billions you would save not paying for the "war on drugs" and paying for people jailed for drug offenses.
And at the same time, you end drug smuggling into the US, and Terrorists being funded by drug money.
I dont use Illegal drugs, but I am 100% for "responcible" de-criminialzation of narcotics. - SchennBros
i agree with this. however...i do think there would still be room for illegal drug manufacturing/selling. i think the problem would be infinitesimal compared to the issues we have now though. |

Like I said, make the black market mandatory sentences so outlandish (mandatory 20 years for illegal selling/purchasing) and you'd reduce it even further. Just make it so crazy that no one would dream of doing it. |

that might work - but isn't there some measure preventing an out of whack punishment/crime scenario, like 50 years in a federal prison for speeding? |

unfortunately all this will do is ensure that prisons remain as overcrowded as ever. |

Not as likely. Probally just as much as you see illegal moonshine... Does it exist... sure. But its easier to just get a business liscense and do it legally.
I mean how many people do you see making thier own cigarettes from scratch. Growing the tobacco, drying it, processing, rolling... No-one because its too complicated.
The only illegal drug that is remotely easy to grow and be ready to use is Marijuana. And still, as you can see in California and Colorado people would rather just walk down to the nearest store, buy an ounce, then have to cultivate an entire plant over time. |

I did notice an improvement with Luke's play in the last few games. I think Macdonald is a good partner for that D pairing.
Regarding the Chicago game last night, 3 or 4 times I noticed L. Schenn missing short passes, having his head down and just flipping the puck who knows where without pressure from anyone.
As for Lecavalier, how many times is he the one losing the puck in the O-zone.
B.Schenn and Simmonds are battling 1 vs 3 blackhawks and he's in the middle of the ice watching, instead of battling in the corner with his outnumbered teammate or pinning himself on the boards to prevent the puck exiting the O-zone and to prevent a counter attack He is ALWAYS the last guy on the back check, he glides to the bench for a change. He is a highly skilled guy, but lacks plenty in other areas. I know stats are stats but there's a reason he is the highest - minus on the team. - Chris48
I think that there has been plenty of room for criticism towards both players this Season. I just find the timing curious. As Lecavalier had one of his better game last night in recent games. And I though Luke Schenn was outstanding last night. And has been playing well lately.

I can't believe it. NBCSports has a good game tonight. I was half expecting them to show Buffalo vs NJ or something like that. |
