I think Timo is coming back next year. This team may be closer than people think. - PhillySportsGuy
Agreed. If they play the right way - full 60 minutes, up on skates, sound defensively - there are no glaring holes in this team and we now have a goalie who can steal us some games, at least imo. |

I like him better than most. He'll just never be in a position on this team or another to wear a C. - mayorofangrytown
Luke Schenn is the guy I could see as a future captain one day.... supposedly he's held on a pedestal by teammates in his age group. |

He was playing with Streit on the 2nd unit last night. - SchennBros
I want to talk a little about the PP.
I've wanted them to replace Voracek with Vinny for a while. Teams are really overplaying Giroux and Timonen. They aren't respecting Jakes shot. I feel Vinny would be perfect in that spot because he can really one time the puck. Thats where he's scored many of his goals in his career.
Moving Jake to the second unit makes them better as well. He becomes the main distributor and has the PP run through him as the top unit runs through Giroux.
I feel that minor switch makes both units better. |

Coburn came over late in the 06/07 season. The rights to Timonen and Hartnell were acquired in the offseason for the first-round pick from the Forsberg trade. |

Which, in Coburn's case, is the equivalent of several hundred light years. |

Not sure they're a cup contender this year because I don't know if we can consistently rely on Couts to play this well every game.
He may reach that level next year though. Having two centers like Giroux and Couturier in their primes make you an instant contender. |

If you have the humor of a 13 yr old, like myself, read what's bold but instead of saying "power play", just read the actual letters. |

Yup, I knew Timonen and Hartnell came over together, and I knew Coburn arrived around the same time, I just wasn't sure of the order. I don't have a rolodex mind like some people. Friggin' straight-edgers and their healthy brain cells. |
