Had a 1/20 shot. Didn't fall his way.
But really, when you think about an NHL captain, Christian Ehrhoff just doesn't fit, to me. That Buffalo team is stockpiling picks, but at some point, they'll need someone to rally around as well as an identity. - jmatchett383
I think their identity is "we are going to try to suck enough to get McDavid next year!"

i wanted a little more emotion out of him on the winner last night. was surprised by his nonchalant behavior.
i also wish the camera had stayed on raanta, as he looked like he was about to crack his stick over the net. - hammarby31
I don't think he was nonchalant ... more like surprised it went in. He said afterwards that he didn't really aim. |

I see them being another Edmonton as opposed to a Pittsburgh. Don't know why. Pittsburgh got VERY lucky in a few drafts. Not exactly the model way to build (that would be Boston). |

Would it be suspicious if McDavid ended up in Phoenix? |

Well Coburn-Timonen has got to be Number 1. Since Schenn is playing with MacDonald and MacDonald gets PP time, I would say they are number 2 unit, but since Schenn doesnt play PP then he plays fewer minutes. - SchennBros
Streit also gets second unit PP time. I think what we have here is now 2 pairings that could be 3-4 defensemen. I like MacD as I think he has given Schenn a lot more confidence and a steady partner. (rather than back and forth with Gus & Mez) However you rank them, I think having 3 d pairs we can roll without trying to hide one takes pressure off Kimmo. Which is the most important part for this team down the stretch.
Also having Gus and Gill as our backups should something go wrong ain't too shabby a setup. |

I'm pretty sure this is how David Stern runs draft lotteries in the NBA. |

That's how they ran the Crosby Lottery.
Hmmm should we put him in LA or give him to Mario?

That is fine. But I'm not paying market value. If Timonen wants to come back to the Flyers because he wants to win a cup, then take a team friendly cap hit so we can still fill some needs.
I dont care how you do it, signing bonus, or incentive based bonus, but I would like to see a low cap hit. - SchennBros
They could do a one year incentive based deal, and could use the bonus cushion to lower the Cap cost. But that can lead to a pay me now, or pay me later situation and bonus overage penaltis on the Cap the following Season. |

Can we put the debate of whether the Flyers rushed Couts to rest, yet?
I would really like to cross some of these things off the list. |

For those interested in the fantasy draft, Bill Meltzer has indeed agreed to preside as part of the (or the only) ruling body. - jmatchett383
The only thing holding me back from getting involved is not knowing what the format is. |
