This team is going no where until we get new ownership or until FA realizes he must not be involved, it is going to take years for that to happen and by years I mean a decade or 3. I don't think Gillis will be fired, the value of the team has gone up 200% under his tenure. Gillis has to grow some balls and tell FA to step away or he will quit. If the value of this team starts to fall, I see FA messing with it even more trying to save face.

I can't wait 30 years. It would of been much better if FA had to sell the team to pay for his divorce. The re-tool would be well under way under the new owners. |

Simmonds another goal and assist, why didn't MG talk to me before this year started |

I'm happy as long as it happens while I'm still young enough to celebrate. |

At least one Vancouver mobster knows what he's doing, if we're lucky maybe some Triad boss will own this team in 20 years, at least you could get a quail egg on your noodles. |

Was he just signing checks when he is sitting in the war room with Canuck management and scouting staff during the trade deadline? |

Yeah the Luongo visit on draft day also might be a sign that he is an active owner. |

Think he would have pulled the trigger on the Edler for Nyguist plus deal?
If so, he should be hired. That was a big miss by Gillis. At this point I'd do Nyguist for Edler straight up. |

Travels to Florida to visit Lu last summer... sounds like an owner that wants to be involved in team decisions and have relationships with his players... I guess if you sign the cheques, you ultimately call the shots. |

The behind the scenes poop at the deadline clearly shows him in the "war room".. and hes pacing back and forth at times. It is quite apparent he has more say than any owner should. Which is practically nothing... they give a budget (cap limit).. and approve any offer that is being made. They should not interfere in any other way. Too many cooks in the kitchen... and Gillis is already having a tough enough time making deals that benefit this team short term and long term |
