Good for him. I'm sure they've all taken to twitter to cry about it.

Why would they expect anything out of the # 6 pick in the Draft? Guy is a crippled pipe cleaner. How bout that Bynum transaction. How did that work out?
Defending a team with a 25 game losing streak. I love it.
They are the laughing stocks of the Universe. - PLindbergh31
Bynum trade was different management altogether.
Noel tore his ACL. They don't want to rush him back to play for no reason. They drafted him with the future in mind. He was far and away the most talented player in last year's draft. He's a raw talent as well. Teams didn't want to wait for him to recover from injury then take the time for him to develop.
Is there really much of a difference between being the worst team in the NBA and being the 11th-29th best team in the NBA? |

I used to work at Gigi's in olde city. He frequented that place quite a bit. Jeff Carter used to order the same god damn thing every time. Caeser salad and filet |

Let's take a stroll down memory lane:
First off, some of you want to know what is going on with Captain Silence a/k/a Mike Richards.
He's mad at the media and giving us one, two-word answers. He didn't like some of the stories written recently about Joffrey Lupul.
Anyway, if you check out CSNPhilly.com and go to last night's game story, you will find the complete text of his post-game comments after the Flyers 4-3 shootout win against Boston.
That the captain is not talking to the media should send up red flares in Flyerdom at a time when the club is trying to find its game.
Frankly, aren't there more important issues at hand during this homestand than what the media writes about Lupul?
Sam Carchidi's blog in the Inquirer today offers a more complete explanation.
Bottom line? This is much ado about nothing.
We should point out, this is not a team-wide boycott of the media.

Sixers loss number 25 in a row upcoming tonight in San Antonio. Does anyone remember the last pro team in Philadelphia to win 25 games in a row?
I love the comments from the coach after the last loss. "it's not about wins and losses" Perhaps they should stop keeping score of the games. Have a running clock, put mats down in between quarters for nap and snack time. - PLindbergh31
lol werent you one of the people ripping the flyers apart for getting some wins down the stretch last year? |

Politics impact everybody and everything one way or another; soccer only matters to hooligans.
Still, let's stick to hockey and the upcoming destruction of the Kings.

I was having fun with the post. I have been very happy with what i have seen from MacD.
I keep posting this question to some of the corsi peeps but never get a response, Can we see a comparison of the Flyers 3rd pairing corsi vs that of the other teams 3rd pairings? |

Wasn't ripping them. I mean you can't throw games, these guys are pro athletes with some pride. It was frustrating to see them winning games when they were mathematically eliminated. It affected their draft pick, but that's the way the cookie crumbles. |

not sure how that's different than sixers fans preferring a higher draft pick in a stacked draft over meaningless wins in a lost season |

In a Q&D scan of it, the Flyers third D pair is probably average when it comes to CF%...Chicago's third pair-or at least the two defensemen with the least usage-are superior. But when you look at the Rangers or Bruins or Ducks or Sabres, MacDonald & Schenn are right in the middle.
The thing is, you look for trends to predict future performance or get an idea of what's happening with certain players. |

Its difficult to evaluate right now in such a short span of games. They've played some good teams since Mac got here. The eye test tells me he's been a very productive player for this team. |

I agree to an extent. But come on a 25 game losing streak? That's flat out pathetic.
I don't really care, but this losing streak has become National news.
Flyers are playing their best hockey of the season, shouldn't waste my time discussing a team that's irrelevant I suppose.
