Ryan Miller, Ryan Callahan & Rick Nash
How about 3 underrated? - Jsaquella
I agree with Ryan Miller for sure.
Remember Nash's play on Richards line during the 2010 Olympics? Probably the best I've ever seen Nash play. |

Actually I thought of MOAT first. But I've met him in person - and that explains why. He's got a seriously cute kid!
- FlyersGrace
The kid was cuter before the growth spurt. Then again, so was MOAT.

Hall is a great young player. If he can level out with consistency and remain healthy he'd skyrocket in value. |

I think he's a great player, but consensus seems to be that he's somewhere in the Pronger/Potvin/Robinson stratosphere, hence the overrated bit. By the end of this decade, I don't think he will even be top-10 with all the crazy-good kids in or on their way into the league. - Tomahawk
I never thought of him in that sense, and I'm probably the biggest fan of his in the area. He's not a first-ballot HOFer, because, well, he's not pronger/Potvin/Robinson. He's arguably the most complete defenseman in the game, and is the closest thing to Pronger et. al. that there is. Similarly, Crosby is the closest thing there is to Gretzky, but that doesn't mean they're the same player; just, for the game at this time, he fits the same bill. |

I agree, I'm not going to put him in that category. But the reality is, has he ever played a top team? Put him in Flyers O & B, and we'll see what a difference he would make here. |

Considering I hear a lot of folks that think Phaneuf sucks, not sure I'd say he's overrated, at least anymore. Certainly could have been as a Flame - Jsaquella
Yeah, his stock has dropped quite a bit. However, he's getting paid like a top dog, but that's more on Toronto than him. |

Everyone name your top 3 most overrated current players. Don't use guys who are just overrated on this site like Yandle or Byfuglien unless you feel they are top 3. - PhillySportsGuy
Crosby
Weber
Stamkos
Now seriously though... They are some of the best players in hockey, but people put them so high on a pedalstood, i think people think of them as Gretzky like.... |

Retired, but he reminds me of Peter Bondra? Hung around just long enough to reach 500 goals, and no one noticed. |

I don't care.
"I don't like liberals, they're evil!!!"
"I don't like conservatives, they're evil!"
"Shut up!"
"No, YOU shut up!"
Has no place on here. Not to pick on any one poster because I'm not, but it's like 2 educated 5-year-olds arguing penis size. - jmatchett383

I said Hall because I think if somebody got that kid out of that horrible situation and into a positive atmosphere, he'd put up 50 goals and look dominant in doing so
It's tragic, what's going on up in Edmonton |

But they are the closest to those legendary players that there currently are. that's like saying Phil Esposito was overrated because he was compared to Richard. People in the 80s probably said Gretzky was overrated because he didn't play like Howe did. |
