This may be a reach. I know taking my OHIP coverage to the US covers me for very little (under $200 I think), but my group insurance is far more liberal. I have heard that France has the best healthcare system in the world (access to care, wait times, etc.), but the question remains whether that system extends itself internationally.

ah. ok. but still... can't be that these guys only have coverage for hockey-related injuries. you would have to be insane to put yourself at risk like that.

Maybe, they have insurance to cover for hockey related accidents/injuries for health and dental.

But the insurance won't pay for a meningitis that is clearly non hockey related.
