You know how some of you whine about Pacioretty? About how he gets hurt too much and how yeah he scores but you don't like the way he scores his goals? He's 5th in the NHL in total goals this year. And when it comes to goals per game, he's second in the NHL behind Ovechkin.

I was very critical of Pacioretty when the whole team was struggling and all he was doing is waiting for the puck miles away from the crease. But about the 'way he scores' and all, I don't think I've ever been in that crowd. He deserves tons of credit for being a constant scorer so far on a middle of the pack team.

And Pacioretty's goal was a beauty play by Vanek/Desharnais.
Starting to naively hoping Vanek really has a blast here and re-signs.
