No way the cap prevents Montreal from signing Vanek. They can get rid of some contracts. Don't think Vanek re-signs but it won't be because of the cap.

So if Eller is packaged to get a young winger like E. Kane, I want the Habs to sign Koivu for his last year. Do we need him? no. Do we have room for him? no. Does he make us better? no. I just want it to happen.
