A) Carlyle is an idiot. that comment was nothing if not destructive. you'd think a veteran coach would know how to massage the situation better than that. you feel for Reimer and Leaf fans right now but can't help but think that Carlyle and Nonis deserve this for how they've handled the entire situation.

B) we've seen this before from Bourque. he will be absolutely invisible tonight and tomorrow.

C) why is everyone always so up in arms about how the CBC handles its coverage? the CBC has never claimed HNIC to be an unbiased, national broadcast. it is a Leaf feed and they don't try to hide it. especially when the Leafs play Montreal because they know that Montreal fans are watching RDS anyway.

I don't hate Reimer like some of those other guys. I made a point that Carlyle has destroyed whatever bit of confidence and worth Reimer had with his comments about him throughout the year. Keep that poop to yourself. I've never understood how he can call him out like that day in and day out thinking it's gonna help his game. I know Reimer lets in some pretty soft goals, but (frank)ing (frank), why doesn't the coach attempt a system where he's not on pace to give up the most (frank)ing shots in league history? What does he think will happen? The Leafs D is terrible. But when you look at it on paper (yes, I know where the game is played) it shouldn't be up there in goals against. I realize it's on the players too, but the coach is there to help these guys along.

it's a bizarre situation there with the goalies. usually when a team demotes its starter and trades for a replacement, they unload the incumbent. in this case, the Leafs told a guy that he wasn't good enough in June, and then turn to him in March and say "it's up to you to save us". and yeah for Carlyle to single out Reimer without even a mention of his team's defensive play is cowardly. i can't imagine players, even the ones who blame Reimer, being on board with that.
