it's funny even during the flyers/rags series i couldn't build up any real hate because they hadn't played each other in the playoffs in so long. but now i am really really enjoying reading ranger fan posts. it's the fans, i think, more than the team. they're just such douchers.

my discomfort with the flyers makeup of defensemen is well cockumented going as far back as 2 years ago. i voiced my opinion once more quite vociferously going into this season and then kind of gave up because they clearly weren't listening to me at all.

Well when the 7th guy is Hal Gill whose 2 positive attributes are being tall and a good guy in the room you know trouble is brewing.

it's been hard to tell with gus. sometimes you notice him and sometimes you don't and he was never in the lineup consistently enough to get a good read on him anyway. i don't consider it much of a loss because they need a different kind of defenseman back there anyway. they've never recovered from everything they lost with chris pronger. they need one stud defensive defenseman but keep picking up guys known more for their offense from back there than their defense back there.

i mean this is just how i have felt watching them.

yeah. i know. but i mean there are a lot of aspects you lose when you lose a chris pronger and i just feel like they needed to address different areas than they did in that regard. who scares anybody on this current defense? who are opposing forwards dreading having to deal with when they play the flyers?
