I don't want to complain on MT tonight because he dealt a pretty crappy hand with 2 injuries in the first. But why not play 3 forwards here? It really doesn't matter if Boston scores standings wise and your back-up is in net so I'd think you want a result before a SO?

Shoot out with a back-up. Not the best strategy, but it was clearly MT's when we barely see Galchenyuk, Gallagher, Pacioretty and Vanek but we get 3 minutes of Gionta.
