I haven't picked a venue yet, attractive waitress's usually don't weigh into the choice. I've got greying hair, I'm slightly overweight and I absolutely love my wife.

Our favourite is The Crow & Gate in Cedar. Locally, The Waverley Hotel has great live music, an excellent menu and an awesome Bluegrass brunch on Sundays. We also like the dark, dingy pubs where our mothers would never dream to look for us, like The Fisherman's Pub in Oyster River.

We all end up there at some point. How can you not, a hotel with 5 bars/pubs in it.

However, it is best avoided on many nights as it can be a gong show.
