I agree but he would have tried with us and went to FA if he didn't. His stats also would have been padded playing with Tavares all season so he would have got it with another team. - Cptmjl
Im not as concerned with Moulson. Top 5 centers can make slightly above average wingers look like all stars.
Moulson is replaceable because JT is so good. It would be smart to use that money elsewhere though. I just don't see them doing that. |

I agree with everything in this post besides this part. Moulson is just not that good and Snow should do better for the first line as well as the rest of the team. I'm happy Streit is playing well for you guys but him at 5.5 for 5 yrs is not what I want for this team. AMAC was god awful for us. Blatantly at times. If Snow resigned him half the fanbase would have shat themselves. We have a lot of defensive prospects coming up. DeHaan has been impressive so far. - Cptmjl
The reason why the impression of MacDonald is that he played god awful for the Isles. Is that he was put in the wrong postition to succeed. He's overmatched playing 27 minutes against top lines game after game. Put him in the right role, and he's a solid player.
Half the fanbase lack perspective. |

It just seems like the team lets talent walk out the door, but they aren't replenishing it at the same pace.
Every prospect that comes in, a veteran walks out. There seems to be no net gain. - PhillySportsGuy
Yeah, at what point do you stop waiting for the right talent and actually spend to make the team better? Good, young players are important, but to be a playoffs team you do have to put some cash down for production right now. What good is preparing for tomorrow if it's always a day away? |

Good speed, good playmaker, lot of offensive potential and from what the scouts say, he's a smart kid. Watched about 20 minutes of youtube highlights of him and he's dynamic as a college player. - Jsaquella
Hopefully another Matt Read! Can't have too many of them! Would be nice if they could land Frolin as well. Good way to acquire depth without giving up any assets. |

Free agency shouldn't be your primary source of acquiring talent, but it should be used to gather depth and add to the team. |

I understand your point but signing players that aren't playing well to long term contracts especially with a team with a limited budget is asinine. Contrary to popular belief on here this team isn't that far off. One top 4, a legit starter, and a new coach would make this team competitive. The problem is I have little faith in Snow doing it. |

I guess thats where we disagree, I still think they need more than that. Sometimes, overpayment isn't a big deal. Cap keeps increasing. Lightning overpaid Carle and I'm pretty sure they're happy with him now. |

There was actually a contingent of Isles fans that believed this. I was not one of them. When a player is coughing up the puck two minutes into a game against the opposing teams third line it's hard to have perspective and think it was a inutes thing. I would have rather him be on the third pairing of course but the way he was playing I just wanted him gone. |

There's one clip, he scored a great effort goal on Jon Gillies, highly regarded young netminder.
Which, of course I can't find this morning |

Thanks, just looked him up.
Appears to be able to play both center and wing. Most likely is going to need to add some muscle to play in the NHL, he's currently listed at 5'10 160. At that size, he better skate like Pavel Bure!
Sounds like he is very highly skilled and has good hockey sense. I'm guessing he was never drafted due to size, if he's only 160 now, he may have only been 145-150 in his draft year, and guys that small just don't get considered.
If he can even come close to being another Matt Read, this is an excellent signing. That being said, I would expect him to start next year with the Phantoms, but, of course, you never know. |

might want to wait a few days, Preso already made mention of nuclear warhead detonation in Manhattan. Fire might be overkill.
